SOURCE: High temp red light stays on...

You'll need to tear into it to answer these questions. I suspect the defrost cycle isn't working or the fan is broken. The best way to see what's going on is to take everything out the freezer drawer and remove it. Then take the back panel off the interior rear wall of the freezer section to expose the coils. The coils should have a very even white frost pattern on them (not frozen solid anywhere). If they are frozen up then the air can't flow around them to cool the fridge properly. If the coils seem "normal" with frost only then is the fan just above them working? That fan circulates cold air to both fridge and freezer sections. Let me know what you find out in order to lead you to a repair part.

SOURCE: bosch classixx refridgerator

the evaporator is probably iced up and hence poor air flow. (i am assuming it is a frost-free type). switch off and leave for 24 hours with door open is the easy cure. otherwise, remove the back inside panel of the freezer and melt off the excess ice with a hairdryer used carefully

if the flap was open then truely excessive cold air is coming out/escape from the freezer causing no freezeing. you need to defrost your fridge.

Note also that frost build up increases time to freeze your food on the freezer. it also causes your fridge an increase in electricity consumption.

defrost your fridge for some time ti remove the frost build-up.

New floor model. Not cooling. Code on the door says "FF".

Not real familiar with Kenmore specifically, but I think your refrig is in the display mode, so the lights will work, but it won't run while on the sales floor. I suspect it says O for the freezer temp and FF for the refrigerator section. (which is "OFF", commonly the opposite of the ON condition. ) Hopefully, your manual addresses this situation. It may require a procedure such as holding the ice plus, bost, express chill, etc. button and the freezer increase temp button for at least 3 seconds while one of the refrigerator doors is open.

CHECK THE FREEZER FAN MAKE SURE ITS RUNNING AND IF THE BACK WALL OF THE FREEZER IS FROSTED UP YOU HAVE A DEFROST PROBLEM. I ONCE FOUND SOMETHING FELL BEHIND THE BASKET SO THE DOOR DIDNT SHUT ALL THE WAY, CHECK THIS AS WELL

Hi,
When it gets very cold the gas (freon) in the refrigeration system shrinks....because the properties that make cold also work against you in this case...when the gas shrinks in volume it then does not work properly anymore...the hot gas does not turn back into a liquid but stays as a gas and because of that it does not cool when going through the expansion device...ie. cap tube or expansion valve. If you were to keep it in the cold all the time you could add a bit of charge to make it work, but then if you move it to warm or the weather warms... now you are over charged... just one of those "no win" deals...
They don't make these things to run in extreme environmental changes..they like it a consistent temp. all the time...

Fruits & Veggies are freezing in both lower frig compartments

Good day,
This problem appears in spades this time of year, every year.
The problem becomes more severe when the temperatures in the house cools down and is made even worse if the usage of the machine becomes lighter.

It occurs when the machine is off, not on.
There is an open vent, near the bottom, between the freezer compartment and the fresh food compartment. This opening or vent is necessary when the machine is running, so that the air pumped into the top of the fresh food section, can return to the freezer compartment. This is by design.
Now,
When the machine is off, the zero degree air from the freezer compartment. can drift into the fresh food compartmnet and drop the temps near the bottom to below freezing.
Off time increases substantialy at this time of year.
Some have even recommended turning the controls colder to offset the problem, but I've no proof it works well, or even a little.
SXS and top freezer models experience it more than bottom freezer models.

Freezer too cold

I assume 'too much ice' means unwanted frost.
It isn't the temperature causing the problem although the recommended temp is around -5 since lower than that doesn't seem to help food keep better. First you should look for a balance control that determines the flow of chilled air to the two compartments. The temp control will influence both of them so there is somewhere a control that allows you to influence the ratio between the two.
I don't recall seening any combined freezer/refrigerator without one but if you can't find one, check the gasket seating around the door to see if it truly still flush all the way around' it doesn't take much gap to let the compartment pull moisture out of the ambient air.

Red light is indicating temp is too high, this can be caused by a variety of reasons.
You need to call an engineer to sort the problem out.
