check you brightness level , if that does not fix it it sounds as if you may need to replace the bulb, you can get just the bulb or bulb in housing, if you are the least bit handy save the money and just buy the bulb, be sure not to touch the front of the bulb as oils on your skin can damage the new bulb or at the least shorten its life, this is easy to do just fallow the directions in your manual
Well you haven''t said what caused you to replace the lamp. But If the TV just went out and you thought it was the lamp dont throw away the old lamp yet. You have the "Green Blinking Light Of Death". First I would tell you to place the new bulb in the old housing. I have found that many of the Ebay replacement bulb housings just dont seat too well. Make sure to wear a golve to prevent getting any oil on the lamp. It an easy swap. Swap the bulbs and do a reset. If that does not fix it the Google "Mitsubishi GBLOD" tons of info oout there. If you are thinking of repairing it yourself ( I have fixed 2 myelf) Email email@example.com and ask for the repair info for the Mitsubishi 52525 He has a great libary of info he can send you and does it all for just donations.
I would change the whole LAMP ASSEMBLY because if you touch the lamp while changing it out of the housing the oils on your hands will cause premature failure. Most of the time the lamp assembly's come with replacement instructions but yours is not too bad it is located on the left hand side if looking from behind set.
I bet the area around the lamp shows signs of warping and/or cracking too? This is a VERY common issue as the fan that sits above the lamp gets clogged with dirt which allows the lamp to over heat which decreases the lamp life as well as distort the plastic casing around the lamp. The fix is a thermal fuse kit and a new fan and of course a good cleaning of the other fans in these TV's. This should be performed by a service technician.
