I wasnt able to locate the panel part number. There were 2 different ones used in your set based on the serial number. But I have never ever seen a panel that was cheaper than the purchase price of a new tv. I hate giving out bad news.. Sorry Most places that sell salvage parts for tv's like ShopJimmy.com never have the LCD screens because thats what always is broken making them salvage..

SOURCE: have a vizio e370vl tv
You will be able to connect the DVD recorder to the TV for playing a video. Connect the two devices using the best output available from the DVD recorder (HDMI or component video from the output of the DVD recorder to the video in of the TV). To record programming, if the DVD recorder doesn't have a tuner, you will need a set top box. This can be a satellite receiver, a cable box or a set top tuner depending on the source of your TV signal.
If the DVD recorder has an NTSC tuner, you can use a digital to analog converter as the set top box for OTA signals. Note the d-t-a converters that were available with the government coupon only provided SD signal output. HD digital to analog converters do exist and you will be able to record a HD program as HD. (This does depend on the DVD recorder.)
Depending on your situation, you may want a splitter to connect the signal to both the TV and the DVD recorder and be able to watch one program and record another. With digital OTA signals, an amplifier may be needed to maintain signal strength for the tuners to see the channel. For coax input, you'd put the splitter before the devices. Then feed one line to your set top box and the other to the TV. Then output from the set top box to the DVD recorder. If you have an ATSC (or QAM for unencrypted cable) tuner in the DVD recorder, then you use the same basic arrangement with the splitter without the set top box.
I hope this helps.

This unit has infra red detector for remote. You may be getting IR from another source in the room (eg: bad light bulb or light reflecting off window pane). Also if you use the JAG Wheel on side of set, instead try the remote - the JAG Wheel may be the problem (dirty switch or damaged).

This sounds like a problem with the main board in the TV. The main board is similar to the motherboard in a computer. You will need a professional to repair/order the parts. I would strongly recommend looking into purchasing a new TV rather than have this one repaired. In most cases the repair for a main board would be within a couple hundred dollars of a new set and often will not last very long.
