Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
The defrost thermistor has failed. This E2 error code means that your appliance has experienced a defrost sensor fault. The bad thermistor will be near the top of the evaporator coils.

SOURCE: My wine coller won't hold

If it IS a small compact refrigerator, used as a wine cooler, then it may be "iced up" and just need defrosting, if only part of the coil is iced, it is probably low on gas, or the "condenser" coil on the back (or under) the unit may be dirty, a fan not running, or just too close to a wall and not breathing). It is "doubtful that the thermostat is bad, but just setting it colder will tell, and the "setting" is usually marginal anyway.
If it's a larger unit with a fan or fans inside Like a walk-in cooler, then there are other possibilities

SOURCE: bottles in candy wine cooler ccv 150bl are not cold enough even with thermostat is turned to cold is there any way to solve this

Check the condenser is clean, and the inside not iced up. Is there a fan inside? Check all is operating normally. When you say it is not cold enough, what temperature are you trying to reach? For keeping / storing wine, 8 to 10 c should be fine. For chilling before drinking, take the wine to a domestic fridge to get it to 4c

BWE40 wine cooler. Is it safe to leave it switched on when code e2 is showing? Does code e2 distinguish which of the two sensors need replacing? Thanks.

Hi All,
I had this error on my wine cooler. I checked the sensors and got a reading Kohm from both, however i still decided to replace the rear sensor - buried in the foam. It is located in the foam about 20cm from the LHS and 20cm from the bottom of the foam.

I got the sensors from here https://www.inter-spares.co.uk/?subcats=Y&status=A&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&pkeywords=Y&search_performed=Y&q=49032008&dispatch=products.search
I left the front (internal sensor) and just swapped the two terminals in the 4 way plug. I used normal expanding foam to fill the areas where i had removed the foam looking for the sensor. All up and running now.

Leaking water from the back

make sure that the drain is connected properly at the back.

Make sure that the little drain pipe (usually clear hose) is sitting in the plastic shroud that sits on top of the compressor at the back of the fridge.
