SOURCE: How to make a panel,
Hello babies5 what it means by panel ready is a cabinet door style front to match the cabinets. I have installed many of these panels, however they where always supplied by the cabinet shop who built the cabinets. As to handle, that also always matched the cabinet pulls on the rest of the kitchen. The idea of this unit is to hide the dishwasher. In my kitchen, simple doors, so I would use 3/4 inch plywood and paint it white with the same pulls as my current doors and drawers have.

SOURCE: Kitchen Aid Dishwasher
I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.
Your problem is: You have a Kitchen Aid Dishwasher that has a light on saying CONTROL LOCK,of which when on you can't do any wash cycles. You tried doing canel out,but no help. What can you do to get off so can use unit?? Is there a reset button underneath that will reset unit.you are very mechanical and can pull unit apart if needed....Thanks Scott
Should not be nessessary. The lock is for keeping playfull little hands from getting into trouble. You must have inadvertently activated it. Try pressing and holding the "heated dry" button. This should deactivate the lock after about six seconds. This same procedure will reactivate it should you feel the need.

i looke dup your model and you seem to have the hidden control panel model. the manufacture is funny htat way they will only cover part if you have installedby auth servicer, i looked up the part for you part number 8531269 retails for about $70. its the enitre console assy including overlay. so although they cover it youd be better off buying it direct and installing your self for sure. simple enough repair, the screws (torx15) from the inner door panel come off and release the panel, everthing on the inside simply unsnaps and gets transferred to the new part. just remember to disconnect power first all live wires!

1. Check plug outlet.
2. Check electrical box underneath the d/w where power cord connected to d/w (you have to take the kick panel off . The box located on right side). Sometime you can find burn wire there.
3. Check the thermal fuse on computer board. It is inside the control panel on right hand side. The fuse has 2 white plastic connector which sticks out, easy to find.

Yes indeed! If you know the measurements, you can buy a stainless panel from www.applianceart.com cut to any size you would like. THey also have a cheaper "faux" stainless option too. Many colors and designs as well.
