Cannot get the datalogic qs6000 to scan 39 or 128 barcode

Scanner locks up after scanning. Scanner will not read the 39 or 128 barcodes but it will read the barcode on the back of any store bought products. but locks up after that. I have to unplug and plug it back in(USB port).

Sounds like you need an updated driver for your POS scanner.

Other than that, try checking the scanners setting your software and make sure it is set for 39 and 128 bar codes. There is usually a setting that will specify what codes the scanner is going to read.

You can always shoot an email over to the datalogic guys and see if they have any more input on the situation.

UPC code85948500222

Hi. I'm not sure if this will help you, but I found this website:

UPC Database Item Lookup

According to this website:

"Enter the all digits printed on the UPC bar code, including any numbers to the right or left of the bar code itself, even if they don't line up with the main row of numbers. This should be 13 digits for an EAN/UCC-13, 12 digits for a Type A UPC code, or 8 digits for a Type-E (zero-supressed) UPC code. Anything other than 8 or 12 digits is not a UPC code! (And just because it's 8 or 12 digits doesn't mean it is a UPC.) You must enter every digit here.
If you have a barcode scanner that outputs plain numbers, you should be able to use it to enter the UPC number here."

So, apparently you need more digits to complete the bar code #. But if you have the full barcode, you should be able to enter it on the website linked above, and find the image of the frames that you are looking for. I hope this helped. Thanks!

This manual may have the right barcode images to program your scanner.

If not, a call to the manufacturer is how I solved the "how do I program the scanner" issue I had to solve.
Best of luck! Jon : )

QuickScan 6000 Plus cant get it to work with windows 7. If i use ps2 port, the red scanninglight dissapears after one scan. If I use an converter ps2 --> usb and plug it in usb port, it seems to work...

try the other usb ports. sometimes that works. also make sure that your other usb devices are off if possible. If you are using a usb keyboard try using a ps/2 keyboard. If you have an open usb port in the front try using that instead. I have seen this many times. Good luck.

The casio te-2200 ECR only can accept maximum 2000 scanning PLU. But cause the manufacturer change barcode very often, this machine reaches their 2000 limitation so quickly. So I want to know that if we...

The TE2200 maximum Barcode (Scanning PLU) is 5000, however, it is depend on how we "dissipate" the RAM memory.

You have to delete the unused Scanning PLU yourself.

TE-2200 LOTO BARCODE

Hi.
You need to check the book that came with your bar code scanner and see if it can be programmed to read special in-house barcodes. It has nothing to do with the register itself.
