You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Click on one of these links to download HIREN'S BOOTCD :-

SOURCE: I can delete from add/remove prgms ok , if I delete 2008 to 2011 will it affect my computer old files

It really depends on the program you want to remove. If it is something you don't use anymore, then it will be just fine to remove. Be careful not to remove your anti-virus or software that contains drivers ie. display driver software

Didn't use for a long time. now, password is incorrect. cannot activate or open to reach settings to change password

I purchased Windows Password Recovery (their address is PO BOX 83209, Portland, OR 97283), I don't have their web link, but it was reasonable, purchased it online (I was immediately able to download and burn a CD, then they also mailed me a CD too within days). A quick web search should lead you to their website. & they have youtube vids too.

I have used many Password Recovery or Password Clearing programs, this was the easiest used to date. You insert the CD, reboot the computer, it will go into a dos like menu during the boot (mouse and keyboard will work to get around)...It looks for and finds the SAM FILE...That's where those very hidden logon/login passwords are actually stored & encrypted.

It will read the SAM FILE, then it will list all USER NAMES, give you a choice to delete any or all passwords by user account. It simply changes the passwords you choose to delete to blank passwords (or no password). You make the changes, then reboot removing the CD before it boots Windows. Then login, and remember to go to Control Panel>Users>and set a new password on those accounts you deleted the passwords from.

I will caution however...If you do not own the computer (device), or have permission of the actual owner of the device, and it is a password protected computer/device...And you use a tool such as Windows Password Recovery or other password cracking util's. incl. just guessing passwords....Then you are breaking into it and may certainly be committing a crime in your jurisdiction. Could also be federally prosecuted these days too beyond state charges.

Good luck.

BTW, I repair puters and have no connection to the company, but just saw it was $17.95 now instead of the $35.00 I long ago paid for the WPRTools Ultimate disk. (That isn't just a 1 time use disk).

Also...There are a few new free ones out there also. But, if someone is selling you something....It must be suitable for the purpose to which they sell it to you for (so there are legal remedies if it isn't). If they give you something...There are no legal remedies avail. to you if it doesn't work as promised, since you paid nothing to begin with.

Your operating system and programs store your passwords for all of the various sites and services you use.
This approach can save time as it can minimize the need to manually type in every unique password for each site you visit.
Although convenient, it does have its downsides.
For privacy concerns, in certain instances, you may want to delete your saved passwords to prevent users from accessing confidential data.
Windows Log In
Click "Start." Type "Credential Manager" in the search field and press "Enter."
This opens a new window.

Locate the "Generic Credentials" section.
This area contains saved log-in information for various programs and services installed on your computer.

Click the down arrow to expand the items you want to delete, and then click the blue "Remove from Vault" link.

Internet Explorer

Click the "Start" button. Type "Internet Options" in the search field and then press "Enter."

Select the "General" tab, and click the "Delete..." button located in the "Browsing History" area. This runs a "Delete Browsing History" dialog on the screen.

Click to check the selection box next to "Passwords," and then click "Delete."
This deletes your saved passwords automatically and closes the second dialog.
Click "OK" on the "Internet Properties" dialog to close the Internet Options component.

Google Chrome

Open Chrome. Press and hold the "CTRL," "Shift" and "Delete" keys simultaneously.
This shortcut opens a "Clear Browsing Data" dialog.

How can i delete k9

If you are talking about the protection software..the procedure is just like any other program ...go to control panel ...engage the add remove software...(or remove programs for windows 7 the program in the list ..and click remove ..
If it refuses to uninstall itself ..try a few times...make sure it is deactivated from the tray system icon (click right on it and disable or exit ) and try again ..If it still refuses to remove itself ..go to computer (my computer ) C ..and program files...In there locate the folder named k9 or named after the company that made it ..and delete that folder ..If refuses to delete ..just open it and delete them one by one ..until it will be non functional ...After that go back to add/remove software in control panel .. and try to remove again if it is still there ..Usually windows will see it corrupted..and will propose to delete it ..

I can not delete a download called, freeride games player. It keeps saying the program is running, that I should close the program, then return to control panel to delete. I have deleted all referance to...

Start the computer in safe mode by pressing f8 as the first screen appears and selecting safe mode.
it will start slower than normal , and when it does , uninstall , not delete the program in question. if you just delete the directory, it will leave junk installed you dont want. Sooo unistall it from it's own uninstall program or from the "add & remove programs" section in the controll panel.
