Control foxtel with Bose lifestyle

Trying to control a foxtel iq2in Australia. Having problems, does anyone no the code and settings. Kind regards

No reset button. Simply unplug the power cord in the rear, wait 20 seconds and power back up.

We had this problem. I called Bose, and they reported that the 801 error is a hard drive problem. The unit started squealing while I was on the phone to support, and the guy heard it. Said the hard drive was failing.

$200 to ship the unit to Bose to replace the drive. Wish they had a secret warantee for what seems like a common problem.

I have timewarner and programed my remote with code 1229 but it dosent support all functions. I can
run the dvd and the volume. Hope this will work for you.

Good luck finding more codes.

call bose tech support and register your lifestyle system with them, they in turn will start sending you update CD's those CD's may include the new IR databases that would help you find the right code. the other alternative is to call VIaSat and find out what brand's IR codes they are using( and in the IR menu on the bose try that brand's codes) A lot of manufacturers will use the codes from Motorola(worth a shot) the alternative option is to program a universal remote to control your bose, and all your equipment (if your equipment is hidden in a closet, get an RF remote, I program these for my clients all the time (for their bose systems))

Bose lifestyle 38 remote wont work i'm trying to reset the house code but "all off" followed by "enter" or follwed by"stored " is not working

I have a Bose Lifestyle 38 and the remote control stopped working effectively. I've tried several sets of fresh batteries, made sure that the electrical cord is not coiled up, and have checked the copper coil antenna within the remote to make sure it is connected. The remote does not make any noise or rattle when shaken. It will only work when held within a foot or two of the receiver, and even then often takes several button pushes to get a response. I've verified that the house code on the remote and the receiver are the same. Any ideas?

Can a remote for a Bose Lifestyles 18 system control a Bose Lifestyles 5 system?

Yes you should be able to. The house code needs to be the same etc (adjusted by the dip switches under the battery cover) Google for the pdf instructions on how to set them.

I fired "Bose Lifestyle" into the first choice and it gave me the numbers

here are the instructions from that page:
Setup Instructions

Set the "Mode Switch" to AV 2.

Press and hold the "Mute" button and the "Select" button until the visible LED blinks twice.

Enter the 5 digit Code above.

Bose V 30 works on Radio frequency ............. so you need to have a unversal radio frequency remote conrol..... no IR (infrared) remote can control a bose lifestyle product..

why not use your bose radio frequency remote( the v 30 remote) to control the dvr plyer from motorola.. you can used the remote even to control your tv and other deices ..
