a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: I recently bought a Technika
To start, ensure that you have turned off the LCD TV and disconnected power cord for two minutes, then connect HDMI cable to Sagem box and restart first box, then TV. This will reset the TV.
The TV is supposed to handshake and accept the box signal automatically (for that reason there is no settings), setting itself to proper definition. If this does not happen, then the TV may be defective. Test the TV using different devices that may use HD signal (console, BRD etc.).
On the Sagem box all you can check is PAL/NTSC settings. In Europe you use PAL, but the Sony TV may be able to accept both settings.
If the TV is still giving the problem, and the problem occurs with different HD devices, get back to Tesco and get it replaced (you have one year warranty).

SOURCE: I need a Region Unlock
I understood that you're trying to change the region code of the DVD. DVD region codes were developed by motion picture studios so they can control the home release of movies in different countries. A movie may come out on video in the United States when it is just being released in European theaters.
Every DVD player is given a code for the region that it is sold. A DVD player will not play a disc that is not coded for its region. This means that a DVD purchased in one country may not play on a DVD player purchased in another country.
DVD players sold in the U.S. are coded to play Region 1 DVDs. They also will play discs labelled Region 0 or All. There is no way to override the region code. None of the companies allow to override the region codes legally. The only option is to purchase region free players manufactured.
NOTE: Region codes do not apply to recordable DVDs. For TVs there are two options, PAL and NTSC. NTSC Standards are for countries like the U.S. and PAL are for European countries.
This depends on the television standards where you purchased the TV. This can be resolved by connecting PAL-NTSC or NTSC-PAL converter.
Please feel free to get back to us for further information in this regard.
Thanks for contacting FixYa.
