Trying to reverse the doors on FUFL1810G, the screws wont catch the thread and don't seem long enough although they fit in the other side

Just want to reverse the doors but the bottom bracket wont fit as the screws that fit it in on the right hand side seem too small for the left side? tempted to get some larger screws?

SOURCE: water leaking from door

your drain is clogged. if ice isbuilt up in the freezeer floor. when the freezer defrosts and the drain is clogged it has no where else to go other than ouot the front. pull everything out of the freezer and check twards the rear at the bottom. remove as much ice as possibile let set unplugged and door open for 3 hours. then take a cup of boiling water and pour it back there. if it dont drain repeat that process with the water-have a towel ready because if the water stays back there long enough it will get cold. you need to keep the water HOT. ice could be built up in the drain. hope this helps

Makita bhp453 chuck screw wont loosen

The chuck screw on drills is put in with lok-tite and is reverse threaded. You need to get the screwdriver on it firmly and turn it clockwise, as you are, with strong, constant pressure until it breaks free. Don't let the screwdriver slide out of the screw slot, if you round off the screw head you'll have to cut the chuck off. If it still won't break free, try putting the drill in a vice or use a screwdriver with a hex nut molded into the driver shaft so you can use a wrench for some more torque.

This dishwasher, was installed without being secured,so it slides in and out, with little or no effort. The instructions say to install screws in the top and bottom, or buy side mounts. My question is : How...

Need more info ! hard to answer w/o a photo or even knowing you cabnet or countertop material . If you have a bit of a recess,or can create one, you may be able to go to most any home improvement store and buy common corner or "L" shaped small metal brackets. Very common and in many sizes,Pre-drilled/holes or holes already in them, very inexpensive.

The gasket around the machine door that keeps the water in cannot be compromised by having anything across any part of it`s surface when door is open or closed. The door will hide the brackets when closed if placed properly. The trick is determining how much surface area you have to work with around the gasket/door seal , to the cabinet sides or countertop bottom .This distance determines what size "L" brackets to use.

Slide the machine to where you want it , if it goes to deep into /under the counter or towards the back wall, put pressure treated scrap lumber behind the machine legs on the floor till it`s out to where you like it and the door opens and closes easily. (proper recess) If the cabnets on each side are wood , measure from the gasket to the side of the cabnet.

Is it a tight fit or a little space between the cabnet sides and machine face behind door area? Buy "L" brackets that will screw to the cabnets , cover the gap, but wont touch the door gasket .while resting tightly on the machine face behind door area. The brakets can alway`s be trimmed with a hacksaw or cut off wheel . Get flat head self tapping screws to mount the brackets to the wood cabnet sides. If possible, you may be able to mount to the outside front of the machine, behind the machine door, but outside the door gasket area/ diameter as well . It would give you extra strength but not 100% needed.

You may need to drill small "starter" holes smaller than the self tap thread diameter that are on the screws you puchased , to start the screws in the wood , metal , plastic , ect. Before you drill or mount , do a bracket placement trial run by using tape to hold them where you think they fit/work best . Again make sure the door opens, closes and hides the brackets . The higher up from the floor (closest to the countertop) the brackets are used , the more secure the machine will be ! It won`t flop on it`s face when you open the door to load it or put weight on the opened door.

You can also bring a printed copy of this to your choice of local home improvement store. Matching brackets to the right screws , ect , ect, is easier for them If they understand what you are doing and you find the right employee.

Hope it helped you ! Good Luck !

We'd like to change the door from left opening to right opening on our refrigerator

Good day,
Before proceeding there are a lot of buttons and cover emblems that cover screw holes. Remove by prying off with a small screw driver as needed. As well, remove all food etc.
As well, keep track of all bushing and shims holding the door hinges in place.

1. With the top door closed, remove the top bracket. Open the door with both hands, open approx. 1 foot and lift off.
2. Remove the middle bracket, and remove bottom door as in step one.
3. Remove and reinstall handles on the opposite side of each door.
4. The bottom support bracket must be removed, and remounted on the opposite side, with the pin sticking up.
5. Reinstall in reverse order using bushing and shims as needed to assure correct alignment.

How to change the doors on fridge freezer

Good day,
First. Save and mark all shims and bushings you remove in the process. As well remove all food from both doors.
1. Remove bracket from top of the refrigerator with the door closed.
Once removed, open top door with 2 hands about 1 foot.
Lift off.
2. Remove center bracket and remove as in step one.
3. The bottom bracket can be removed and mounted on the other side, reversing it's orientation. (pin sticking up).
4. remove both handles and remount on other side.
There are many plugs that must be removed, to uncover new screw holes. Some may be covered with emblems, but can be pried out with a small screw driver.
5. Reinstall in reverse order checking for alignment as you proceed.
6. Push in all removable plugs when complete.

Freezer handle has de-attached from door on right side - can it be repaired? I cannot see how you could get at the bracket from inside the freezer door.

I checked the owners manual - found that two small screws holding the bracket on came loose - reattached the screws, then de-attached the handel from left side so entire handle was off. Then slid handle on both brackets left to right until it clicked on.
