Question about Compaq Evo N1020V Notebook
I know I can hook the monitor cord to my laptop. All of a sudden I can't play dvds anymore but I can play cds. It said something about my drivers or codec. I would really appreciate it if someone had some answers
There is a blue (usually blue) 15 pin video connector on the back of the laptop, just connect the video cable from the monitor to this connector, and when you boot up the display will switch to this monitor.
Windows Media player need a Codex plugin to play DVD's. If you install a DVD play program such as PowerDVD it will install the Codex plugin, then you will be able to play DVD's with either PowerDVD or Windows Media Player.
