try rebooting your gps/ On C220, you hold the onoff button down for 10 seconds whcih shuts down the system. Then hold button down for 10 seconds again to restart. Repeat as necessary till it comes back on/

Look at your c/d to see if the same for your model.

SOURCE: replace battery on mio C310 gps

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The battery replacement in Mio C310 Gps is fairly easy. You can perform the repairs if you have the following equipments--
Tools required: -precision screwdriver set -wire (24 gauge or smaller) -shrink wrap or electrical tape -wire cutters/stripper -multi-meter -sharp utility knife
Please follow these steps--

  • Remove the rubber caps and two Phillips head screws at the bottom of the unit (don’t lose the screws!) Gently pry the back off starting at the bottom and then work your way up the sides. If you hear the sound of crunching plastic please re-read the first word in the above sentence.

  • Once the back is loose you can pull it down and then away from the main body. Be aware that the speaker wire will prevent complete removal of the units back.

  • Disconnect the speaker wire plug from the main board and set the back of the unit aside. The only thing holding the circuit board in place is the USB port. Simply pry the bottom of the case slightly and lift out the circuit board. There is a ribbon cable attaching the circuit board to the display so be gentle with this.

  • Six clips (three on top and three on bottom) hold the screen in place. Pry the top clips back slightly and remove the screen. Now you’ll be able to remove the batteryu and install a new one.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

How can i update my mio digi walker c520??

The Users Manual and Support for MIO DigiWalker C520 is here.

I noticed this thread had been read 66000 times there:

onepixel.gif onepixel.gif Question: Is there a map update available for my C-series device?
Answer: We are working on newer map updates with Mio More Express software for C-series devices: C220/S, C320, C520, C720t. The products are in DVD media because the big size is not practical for download. Pleasse check back with Mio support later while slight USB driver issue is under investigation.

I have a Mio C220 that does not power on even though battery is charged. Will not work off of battery or plugged into cigarette lighter. Bought it in Nov. 07 but have lost box, receipt, software, and all...

Mio wants people to know, especially the folks who recently bought the Mio C220, that you need to put the SD card in the unit for it to work. The Mio C220 has the maps on the SD Card, and it seems that not everyone knows to put the SD card in the unit before firing it up. No SD card means no working GPS.
Mio Says:
1. Before you power on your C220, insert the SD Card firmly into the slot on the right side of the device
2. Once the SD card has been inserted into the device, power on your C220 by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds.
For More information check out the Mio GPS Page on the SD Card for Mio C220
