Using a computer connected to an Ethernet cable to the wireless router you have to log on to the router. Enter the ip address for your brand of router in the address box. The verizon IP is 192.168.1.1 but yours may be different. Do a Google search for your router IP addtress.
Which modes are you trying to use this Sitecom? If you have the Sitecom as your Access Point (AP Mode), then you would need a LAN connection to your internet gateway (DSL, Cable Modem, etc). I didn't see any LAN hook up so I assume you are trying to use it as a wireless repeater. So you need to configure the unit differently. The 3rd mode is called Bridge mode. Again, you need to have a LAN hook up to your local network with a router or network switch. Because your Tablet is connecting to the Sitecom okay, which mean that you either have the Sitecom setting for AP mode or Bridge mode. And the reason it didn't give you access to internet because there is no internet gateway connection to the Sitecom (LAN). I hope this answer your question (or confuse you totally).
Look on the side and bottom of the router and see if there is an ip
address that you would put into your internet browser to get into the
router. It will be something like 192.168.1.1
Once you get into
the router you will need to enter the user id and password then go to
the Wireless Security Tab and change or enter the password.
you don't know the ip address then search your manual. If you don't
have the manual go to the manufacturer's website and view or download
and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Zonet
Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before
Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating
system when requested. Look for Manuals. The manual will tell you the
ip address and it will give you the default user id and password to get
into the router.
If you are using AT&T as your internet service provider the password
might be on the side or bottom of the Modem/Router of theirs. Look for
something called Network Key or Network Password/Passphrase.
it's a wireless router you purchased and installed then you will need a
network cable to go from the router into the pc. If you have a desktop
it might already have the network cable going from the router to the
desktop then use the desktop. You'll need to get into the router's
configuration. To do that you'll have to open up internet explorer then
type the router's ip address into the browsers address area where you
would normally type www. Normally the router's ip address will be
something like 192.168.1.1 Once you are into the router the
configuration interface will come up. It will ask you for the userid
and password. Most times people leave these set as the default that
came with it. Once you're in, go to the wireless and wireless security
tabs and there you'll see your SSID (the network you connect to) and the
If you don't know the router's ip address, userid or
password, you can go to www.google.com and type in the manufacturer's
name and support. For example if you have a Netgear Router type
"Netgear Support" . On their site for your model number they will have a
manual that you find find the info you need. In addition to the
192.168.1.1 type of ip address, Netgear also had something like
You can also just google "Netgear router ip
address" put your router model in between Netgear and router to scale
down the search.
You can also do the same thing to find the default userid and password. Just google "Netgear Router userid or Password".
Then google your router. if you had a belkin you would search for "belkin router setup"
this will tell you the default username and password, you can then set your wireless security password (choose WPA2)
If you cant find what you need, write back with your routers make and model
ou need to configure your router. For that Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. Click on WAN settings and set those settings as your internet service provider settings. Enable DHCP if you want to get ip from router. Clickon wireless settings enable wireless then enable WEP Security then add WEP code .It is your password to connect wi fi.Then save settings and restart router. Go to START and find RUN, then type in CMD and hit ENTER,
should throw up a black box (Dos window) you will type IPCONFIG and it should
give you an adapter gateway ip address like 192.168.0.1 or something like that,
from there close out that box and launch internet explorer or firefox or
netscape or whatever browser you use. Type in the ip address where you would
normally type www.google.com. Hit ENTER, this will interface you with the
router. It might be password protected. Usually the username and password are
both the word admin. If not look at the bottom of router for password. Look for
wireless tab once in router and select network type as wep. Look for the key
that the router automatically generates. This will be your wep key. Now your
wireless connection will be secure. Hope this helps...Tennis123
It happens when you type wrong ip address and it automatically goes to google because google is the default search engine setted in your computer and the Ip address entered is wrong so it search for it and end up with some google search information
I hope you are not sure about your router Ip address - if you know how to find out the real ip address of the dlink router do it
and go to command prompt ping that ip address for reply.
Clarify me about your network structure - mostly default Ip address when you get it new is 192.168.1.1 - Try to reconfigure it
