I want to install points on a 1953 Chevy 216 six cylinder engine

Hello! Pull the coil wire...Remove distributor cap...Remove old points...Install new points but do not tighten mounting screw (just snug)...While someone "taps" ignition key watch for point set tab to ride to the top of a cam lobe...Stop when tab is at the top of a lobe...Use a match book cover as a gauge to set the point gap...Tighten screw when gauge just passes point gap...

1953 Ford NAA tractor hard to steer. When small front end loader is full I cannot turn left.

Hi..my name is Keith..and i restore 9N's,2N's and 8N's..and i have dabbled with NAA's and others..but i would suspect its in the steering box..and i suspect its the left sector gear(steering gear) is worn or has a bad spot on a tooth..i would jack the front axle up and suport it with jack stands and operate the steering wheel and see if i could feel any binding in the steering box or in the front wheel (Left and Right) axles ..and i would also check the tierod ends..i hope this has helped..if not..please write back
