Lexmark 3550 Device Monitor Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. Can not fax, scan, or anything. The only thing I can do with this "all-in-one" is print.
can print but cant put anything in a file

Make sure that the Lexmark Imaging Studio program is running. This was installed when you set up your printer. If you see the multi-colored icon in your task bar for Lexmark Imaging Studio then try pressing the scan mode button twice. You should be able to scan then.
Go to :http://downloads.lexmark.com, and see if there is an updated DRIVER PACKAGE or UPDATE PATCH you can download. If not, contact LEXMARK TECHNICAL SUPPORT, and they can help you resolve this issue.
you know some of the operating system if there is a corrupted file or dll some of the printers, USB and other devices in-counter this kind of problem you need to fix first your operating system then after that remove your printer driver and re-install again then then try to scan again..... hope this solution help you...
