On a crown amp you will need a service manual man. That's like working on a Rolls Royce and trying to work on it with Toyota tools. Get the manual or do not wist your time, you will be spending loads of time on this if you don't. If you know where the diff. transistors are, check them out of circuit on high resistance.

This is what I found.
The date is usually set by pulling the crown out by a single click. You can then rotate it anticlockwise to change the date one day at a time. If your watch features a day display as well, this is usually changed by rotating the crown clockwise. To set the time you should pull the crown out fully.
seiko chronograph set the alarm etc
pull the crown out 2 clicks....
set the alarm the same as your current time on your watch.....
push the crown in 2 clicks.....
than pull the crown out 1 click .....
set the alarm at the desired time with the lower button.....
than push the crown in 1 click ....
the alarm is ON
or go to this address
select the desired language
than - alarm chronograph
and play the alarm option on your right
You have to reset your watch. Pull out crown to first click and try to move stop watch hand by pressing one of the pushbuttons. If this do not work, push the crown back in. Now pull out crown fully tto the second click and try to manipulate with pushbuttons again.
After resetting stop watch hand to 0 push the crown in completely.
