First i've never worked on a Frigidaire Affinity, but to my knowledg they all work the same. Just about the only reason a machine would overflow is because of a pressure switch issue. Generally pressure switches do not fail. But their hoses can dislodge, become clogged or develop flaws that allow air (source of pressure) to escape. Truthfully they hardly ever wear out and rarely become clogged. Ask anybody who knows and they'll agree, it's usually because the hose pops off for whatever reason. So in theory at least this should be a no cost easy fix.
The problem is i can't tell you how to get into your machine. I can't even tell you for sure where the pressure switch is located on your machine. But, I can give you a YouTube link that might be some help.

Removing the top panel may be all you need to do. Usually the pressure switch is in the top of the machine around the control panel area. It should be the only component with a tube (usually clear) running from it to the tub or around the drain pump. The switch will look like this: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/frigidaire-switch-pressure-134762000-ap4298882.html

You will have to follow the path of the tube to find where it goes. Likely it is unhooked at one end or the other. There are no clamps that hold them in place that i've ever seen, so just slide it back in place and you're done. Word of caution: Unplug the machine first. I got "bit" by a pressure switch once.
Hope this helps. Let me know if hose is not dislodged.

2001 dodge strates cant keep flud in the overflow

If you can't keep fluid in the overflow you either have an external leak, you should see fluid on the ground after stopping, if no fluid is apparent you have an internal engine leak and need a mechanic to determine the cause and repair.

The overflow need to be filled with water?

Yes, it is important to include the overflow tank or bottle as integral with the radiator and coolant system as a whole. They all intermix. Actually, the level in the overflow tank is a true measure of the correct amount to keep your coolant at. There are two marks on the overflow: full hot and full cold. The coolant system on all modern cars is a sealed system and therefore should never require adding, save a very small amount through evaporation within the overflow tank- the only part that is open to atmosphere.

So once you get all the air out of the system that is possible, both in the engine and in the radiator, you have a full level everywhere, including the overflow tank where it should always remain somewhere between the full hot and full cold marks.

You are right that the overflow collects the heated radiator coolant. But it is due to the expansive properties of coolant-or water- that it expands when heated, (but not boiling-that is very bad news of a different sort). Your radiator cap is designed to open at a specific pressure, just enough to allow coolant to flow into the overflow. As the engine and coolant cools, it contracts, the level drops in the radiator, and a natural vacuum there will siphon the overflow tank back into the radiator until it is full again. That is why you have the full hot and full cold marks.
I will shut off the lecture now. I hope you have liked my answer. If not, I give you permission to kill me now- if I may so jest.

Im having issues with my tank overflowing

this device is a siphon overflow , care will need to be given in keeping it clean and sealed well or siphon will be lost and yes tank can overflow ive been told a small bubbler in middle section as a tickler will keep siphon going better , im not a great fan of siphon type over flows , but if you have the means a hole type overflow is far superior to this ,way less probelms

Excessive water pressure in radiator causing overflow tank to overflow in 1997 7.3 powerstroke

have a compression test done as that will most likely be a blown head gasket or cracked head allowing combustion pressure into the cooling system. A quick check is to remove the radiator cap and fill right to the top . Run the engine and if you see small bubbles in the water or it tends to belch out then it will be the gasket of cracked.

YOU NEED BLEED AIR OUT THE COOLING SYSTEM.WAIT TO ENGINE COOL DOWN.YOUR VECHICLE YOU HAVE TO POUR COOLANT IN THE COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG UNTIL COOLANT LEVEL STAY AT THE FULL COLD MARK.THEN START ENGINE LET IT IDLE A FEW MINUTES WATCH COOLANT IN THE OVERFLOW JUG WHEN IT DROPS ADD MORE COOLANT UNTIL COOLANT LEVEL STAY AT FULL COLD MARK.WHEN COOLANT LEVEL STOP DROPPING IN OVERFLOW JUG.SCREW RADIATOR CAP BACK ON OVERFLOW JUG WATCH ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE AS COOLANT TEMPERATURE START CLIMBING TURN OFF ENGINE LET IT SET A WHILE KEEP FROM GETTING SCALDED.TAKE LARGE RAG PLACE OVER COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG CAP SLOWLY OPEN RADIATOR CAP A LITTLE AT A TIME UNTIL PRESSURE RELEASE.REMOVE OVER FLOW JUG CAP.ADD MORE COOLANT UNTIL COOLANT LEVEL AT THE FUL COLD MARK ON THE OVERFLOW JUG.THEN SCREW CAP BACK ON THE OVERFLOW JUG.START ENGINE LET IT IDLE AGAIN WATCH ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE WHEN TEMPERATURE GAUGE START CLIMBING.TURN OFF ENGINE WAIT A WHILE.CHECK COOLANT LEVEL IN THE OVER FLOW JUG.DO THIS PROCEDURE UNTIL THE COOLANT LEVEL IN THE COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG STOP DROPPING AND STAY AT FULL COLD MARK,WHEN THE TOP RADIATOR HOSE GET HOT THERMOSTAT OPENING AIR IS OUT THE COOLANT SYSTEM. WHEN ENGINE COOLS DOWN.CHECK COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG COOLANT MUST BE IN THE COOLANT OVER FLOW JUG AT THE FULL COLD MARK WHEN ENGINE COLD. DONT .DONT OVERFILL COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG.KEEP COOLANT IN THE OVERFLOW JUG IF YOU LET COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG RUN DRY AIR WILL BE DRAW IN COOLANT SYSTEM CAUSE ENGINE TO OVERHEAT.

Need to know if i need to bleed the cooling system, after installing the radiator?

ADD COOLANT IN THE COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG UNTIL COOLANT LEVEL STOP DROPPING AND COOLANT LEVEL STAY AT THE FULL COLD MARK.PLACE COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG CAP BACK ON JUG.CRANK VECHICLE UNTIL ENGINE START WARMING UP. STOP ENGINE WAIT FOR A WHILE UNTIL COOLANT COOL DOWN TO KEEP FROM GETTING SCALDED. USE A LARGE RAG OVER THE OVERFLOW JUG CAP OPEN OVERFLOW JUG CAP A LITTLE AT A TIME REMOVE OVERJUG CAP CHECK COOLANT LEVEL ADD MORE. COOLANT IN THE OVERFLOW JUG.THEN START VECHICLE AGAIN.LET ENGINE IDLE UNTIL TOP RADIATOR GET HOT.THEN THERMOSTAT WILL BE OPEN.WHILE ENGINE IDLING WATCH THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE IN VECHICLE IF TEMPERATURE GAUGE START CLIMBING IN THE HOT ZONE.TURN OFF VECHICLE LET IT SET A WHILE THEN USE LARGE RAG REMOVE OVERFLOW JUG CAP.ADD MORE COOLANT, PLACE CAP BACK ON START VECHICLE AGAIN KEEP DOING THIS PROCEDURE UNTIL TEMPERATURE STOP CLIMBING HOT ZONE.AND WHEN COOLANT LEVEL STOP DROPPING IN THE COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG.AIR IS OUT THE SYSTEM, BUT KEEP COOLANT LEVEL IN THE COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG AT THE FULL COLD MARK.DONT OVERFILL.DONT LET COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG RUN DRY IF SO AIR WILL ENTER COOLANT SYSTEM BECAUSE COOLANT LEVEL WILL BE LOW ENGINE WILL START OVERHEATING.

The coolant from the coolant tank overflows often.my mechanic showed me a overflow tube running from the tank. is my mechanic screwing around with me? he also showed me a rubber tube running from the...

i"ve never heard of engine overflow tubes...but bikes do have overflow tubes from the coolant tanks. Coolant should not overflow from the tank unless under extreme heat conditions.eg: idling for long periods and constant stop and go traffic. If your bikes coolant system hasn't been serviced in the last two years you might want to do that. also i would change out thermostat and also make sure that your fan is turning on..if its overflowing the fan should be on because the thermostat sends a signal to turn the fan on.

Overflow tank appears to be leaking as I find fluid on the ground. the truck doesn't overheat or warm hot. how difficult is it to remove the overflow tank?

Before removing the overflow tank check:-
1) the pressure cap is of correct specification and serviceable,
2) the overflow tank is not over-filled- space most be allowed for normal expansion of coolant.
The overflow tank should not be difficult to remove if it is necessary.
