Question about Fisher and Paykel Washing Machines
The washing machine stopped during load and now just beeps and the third and fourth green and the red light spin stays on. When you turn the power on it just beeps and doesn't stop beeping till you push the pause button and the lid lock button comes on but you can open the lid so thought it maybe the lock switch????

The 3rd, 4th and the spin (8th) LEDs (from left to right) lit indicates fault code 49
which means the motor controller module detected a fault in the cold
water proportional valve. Raise the console up and make sure the wire
connection between the cold water proportional valve is intact. Reseat
the connection several times to ensure a snug fit connection. Replace
the valve if the connection is intact and snug fit.

problem can be determined through the Wash Progress LEDs. The specific
lit LEDs combination indicates an specific error code that tells what
generally the problem is. But the exact
positions of the lit LEDs are necessary in determining the exact code. Refer to the
illustration below and post back the code or the exact positions of the
lit LEDs. You may Google for the error code once you determine it, like "Fisher and Paykel Fault Code 37".

I am having the same issue and hope someone can post a solution. I have found a work around though. Mine does it when it is on a 'Regular' wash cycle, I found that if I put it on Permanent Press it works fine.
