Most likely you have a defecvtive volume up switch. Unsolder it from the board, and see if problem goes away. Very common problem. Since only one function can work at a time, none of the others will work until you "release" that switch
After an inquiry on the RCA website, RCA sent me a 1-800 number. A "resolution specialist" went through a series of questions with me and determined that RCA would replace my TV after receiving a FAX copy of my original bill of sale. It is on its way now. RCA did not offer to pay for repairs but opted to replace the whole TV. Number is 1-800-336-1900.
Well, the only thing that seems to be working so far is to plug AV cables into the "input 2" ports (on the front of TV). I plugged in my PS2, without turning it on. It has not switched at random since (about 30 minutes - it had been switching off and on for the past 2 hours). Anyone else have similar success?
before any attempt to deep cause of problem, unsolder first all the tack switches in the front panel of tv.then turn on the tv using remote control observe? cuz maybe one of the switches is stock.if not, proceed to eeprom servicing which is u have to look for service mode of ur tv model to unlock it and reset it to factory value.
