Kenmore 96272100 won't spin, but heat comes on....

Broken belt most likely. I looked at your model number and your belt number is 341241. Your actual model number with prefix is:
110.96272100When ordering parts you always add the 110. Anyway to replace the belt you first remove the filter. Then you must remove the 2 screws that hold the filter housing to the top because you gotta raise the top. To raise it you grab the dryers back side right behind each hinge and pull the whole top forward a bit while lifting on the front of the top to release the front portion and rotate it to the back. Then you will need a small screwdriver to assist in unplugging the door switch. Then remove 2 screw holding the front on and LIFT up the front to keep from damaging the bottom clips which are flimsy. Once the front is out of your way get the drum out and inspect the rollers. You can lube them with zoomspout oil, it is safe for appliances.

I have a Kenmore Gas dryer model 11072702101 gets hot does not spin

Hi, Problem here is that your belt either came off or is broken. To get to it, remove two screws at vent. Take a putty knife and press in on the front left and right sides just under the lid. Lift up and prop. You'll find two more screws at the top of the front on either side. Remove. Front will fall out to you and lift up. Remove doorswitch wires noting where they came off of. NOTE FIRST, UNPLUG THE DRYER! Belt part number is 341241 at $20.38. To install, belt around drum, lay down with flashlite. Belt goes around motor shaft. Pull idler pulley back put belt over it and release. Reinstall cab. way you took it off. Hope this helps.

Dryer spins no heat?

Inside the tub in the dryer itself is a heating element behind the screen. Try replacing it. Unplug the machine first though.

Kenmore 800 dryer burning smell and noise.

Access is from the front. Lint screen on top? 2 screws under screen, putty knife to release front clips between top and cabinet. Top folds back and 2 5/16 screws in top corners. Lean front towards you then lift up off lower hangers. Good luck.....

I need to change from a side vent to a back vent on my GE dryer

depending on model, the top gets lifted with a few screws under the main top,( after opening the door), lift the top then there should be a few screws holding the front panel to the sides, disconnect the light/door switch, and the front panel will release, reach around the lower portion of drum and disconnect the belt, remove the tub, from there youll see the vent pipe exiting ou though the side, simply reomve andrelocate out through theback, reassemble the unit and you all set!

Dark stains on some clothes after drying

I had this same problem. I turned out to be the seal around the drum. You have to remove the drum and put in another seal. Not real hard to do. You can order the seal from sears and I think the glue came with it. Just have to remove the lint vent screws and then the top lifts off. then remove the screws to the front panel. Hold the drum because it will fall. Unhook the belt. Remember how it connects. Then take the drum off and remove the seal and as much leftover glue and fabric. Glue the new seal on and let dry. I did overnight. It should have directions. then replace everything. just make the seal is on the same way you took it off so look at everthing before you remove anything. Once the seal was replaced no more stains.

Dryer does not heat up

Does the ignitor glow at all?  If it comes on then goes back out you may have a bad burner coil.  If it doesn't and the ignitor is good you may have a bad hi-limit stat.  Check your vent for restrictions.  If it is full of lint you probably have  bad hi-limit.  This is usually mounted on top of burner assembly.
