Question about D-Link DI 514 Wireless Router (DI-514)
I have a belkin g wireless router and my internet service is from cable.
so i need to know the proper wire or cable connections from piece to piece.
If you have a DSL external modem, usually all you need is the eather net cable and the power supply that should come with the router. You should also find with a new router the required software.
If you are running Windows-XP, XP Pro, or Vista. All the instructions for setting up and hooking up a wireless home network can be found on your machine. You should also be able to get advise from your ISP cable co.
It's easy to set up, the hard pardis keeping the internet connection. I've partially solved that problem, by downloading a free program from Whiz Kid Technomagic called (Kpmyip 10) Keep My IP Adress and downloading a desk top pinger. They help, but my IP address still times-out and I have to go through un plugging the router and using the LAN /High Speed Internet repair feature in XP. After you get set up if you get it to the point I'm at, you are doing very good. If you know something I don't please let me know.
