Question about Kohler K 304 Rite Temp Pressure Balancing Valve
I replaced the 304-K mixing valve for my Kohler Forte shower set. After turning the water on, it mixes as it should, but when turning the stem to full "OFF", there is a steady trickle of hot water continuing to pour out of the spout. Any ideas?

Have whoever installed the shower set come back and fix the diverter. It should be a relatively simple adjustment.

The cartridge has 2 or 3 o-ring type seals around it that feed the water through, it picks up both hot and cold and mixes them. Some cartridges are replaced as one, some you have to replace the seals, just take the faucet info to the hardware store and match it up. I think the diverter is for the shower. It sends the water up instead of out.
