Hello,
Check to make sure that MSQRY32.exe is installed on your computer.
If you have Microsoft Office 2003 -->
In windows explorer, go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office11 folder, and locate MSQRY32.exe. Double click on it to run it.
If you have Microsoft Office 2007 -->
In windows explorer, go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office12 folder, and locate MSQRY32.exe. Double click on it to run it.
If there is a problem running MS Query and you want to re-install it. Follow these steps --> Click on Start, go to Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs, and then select Microsoft Office.  Next click Change, then select "Add or Remove Features". Select the "Choose advanced customization of applications" check box, click Next, then expand the Office Tools list. Find MS Query, click the drop-down arrow next to it, select "Run from My Computer"then click "Update".

Once completed. Perform the steps above to ensure MS Query is now working properly. Then attempt to create a new query in QTP.
Let me know if this helps.
Thank You,
Raphael

Codes of c++

Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 is an integrated development environment, or IDE, released by Microsoft in 1998. An IDE allows the user to create a computer application by using pre-designed functions, tools and other resources. Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 features a source code editor, a compiler, a debugger and graphical user interface.

Install Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 on your computer. The installation process is fairly simple. Just follow the prompts. Run the program. A window will appear asking you to create a new application. On the "Project" tab, choose "Win32 Console Application." This means that you will create an application with an EXE file extension that can work with 32-bit Windows operating systems after compiling the project. Also, specify the project's name and the location where it will be saved. Click "OK." Click"OK" in the dialog box that will appear next. You will choose to start an open project. Double-click on the form in the center of the screen. Type: #include <iostream.h> int main() { cout <<"This is my first project!!! Hello everybody! \n" return 0; } Press "F5." This will build and run the project. Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 will compile your project into an EXE file. Then it will open this file. You will see a new window open in which you'll see your greeting, " This is my first project!!! Hello everybody!" Press any key to exit the application. http://elvis.rowan.edu/~kay/cpp/vc6_tutorial/ http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualc/ee340952.aspx

I was on-line Monday with knkcook (if i rememvber correctly). I was waiting while he was looking for an answer. Then the system cut us off and it wouldn't re-connect with him. I am having a problem...

Hi
  1. Insert your Windows 2000 CD into your computer's CD drive.
  2. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to "Valueadd\3rdparty\Mgmt\Winstle\Swiadmle.msi" on the Windows 2000 CD.
  3. Double-click the MSI file to install the Veritas Software Console. Specify an installation location that will be accessible by the clean PC creating the installation package.
  4. Navigate to the file named "Discoz.exe" in the WINStall folder, then double-click this file to execute the Discover tool.
  5. Click the "Before" snapshot and select the clean PC. Click "OK." Discover will take a snapshot of the clean PC before installation of the third-party application.
  6. Install the third-party application onto the clean PC and reboot the computer. Run the newly installed application on the PC to ensure that installation was successful. Quit the program, once verified.
  7. Launch the Discover application.
  8. Click the "After" snapshot option, and select the PC again. Click "OK." Discover will take a snapshot of the PC after the installation of the third-party application. In doing so, all data that has changed is recorded and compiled into an MSI file. This data includes files, registry entries and edits to settings necessary to install the application.
Lastly
Copy the MSI file to another computer and test the installation package by installing the software.

HOW TO SOLVE VFP FILE CURRUPT WHEN POWER FAILURE

At times, you may view that your MS Visual FoxPro 9.0 database is behaving abnormally. Some of the abnormal symptoms could be an error message while opening any database table, invalid characters in place of pre-defined values, and and more. The main reason for abnormal behavior of the database is its corruption due some logical crash. Few common reasons for corruption of MS Visual FoxPro 9.0 database are abnormal termination, faulty network devices, simultaneous modifications, conflicting third-party software, and incompatible service packs.
To overcome such database corruption scenarios, the user can use an up-to-date backup and perform restoration. However, restoration fails in cases where the user either forgets to create a database or the database backup itself gets damaged. In such cases, the database users can use a third-party DBF File Repair application to repair his/her corrupted database.
To illustrate the above case, consider a real-time scenario wherein you execute a query to modify your MS Visual FoxPro 9.0 database. While the query was performing the modification, the system shutdown due to power failure. However, the next time you tried to mount the database, you encountered an error message that did not allow you to access the database records. Moreover, the same error message appears every time you try to access the database.
Cause:
The root cause for the error message is MS Visual FoxPro 9.0 database corruption due to improper system shutdown.
Resolution:
The database corruption error message can be surmounted by following the below steps:
Use a complete database backup and perform restoration. However, in case of database backup unavailability, you will need to search for a commercial DBF File Repair utility.
A third-party DBF Repair application uses effective repair techniques to repair logically damaged MS Visual FoxPro 9.0 database and restore it at a new and safe location. The original database during the repair process remains intact. The tool is easy-to-understand and allows even a non-technical person to perform repair.
DBF Recovery Software is a comprehensive solution to repair databases created in MS Visual FoxPro 9.0, MS Visual FoxPro 8.0, and MS Visual FoxPro 7.0. The tool also repairs databases built in dBase III, dBase IV, and dBase V. Supported by Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, and 2000, the DBF Repair tool creates a new repaired file that can be attached to existing database.
Tanvi Sharma is a self employed Internet entrepreneur and product reviewer. This DBF Repair utility is extremely useful when the dBase and Foxpro database gets corrupted due to internal program errors, hardware malfunctioning, accidental deletion of data and more. This DBF Repair software repairs all types of database components including table name, column name, column data type, indexes and primary keys.

If I remember correctly you need to call ExecuteQuery or something similar otherwise it does not update the database.

Vb 6.0 to oracle connectivity problem

Your SQL query does not look valid. Test the query in SQL Query analyzer, and then once it is working, copy it into your VB source. You will of course then need to make the query a string that VB will accept.

How to create a multiple access query and put altogether into 1 SQL Scrip(.sql file)

Suggest using Union Query. Thus, you can add more queries from many table and the output will be in one (1) query. Bear in mind that all fields must have same Field Name.

For example:
tblOne contains dtDate1 fieldname. Your query will select [tblOne].[dtDate1] As myDate.
tblTwo contains dtDate2 fieldname. Your query will have the following SQL:

Select [tblOne].[dtDate1] As myDate
UNION Select [tblTwo].[dtDate2] as myDate

Thus the output will result dates from tblOne and tblTwo in a column called myDate.

Maha
