If there is a problem running MS Query and you want to re-install it. Follow these steps -->
Click on Start, go to Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs, and then select Microsoft Office. Next click Change, then select "Add or Remove Features".Select the "Choose advanced customization of applications"check box, click Next, then expand the Office Tools list. Find MS Query, click the drop-down arrow next to it, select "Run from My Computer", then click "Update". Once completed. Perform the steps above to ensure MS Query is now working properly. The purpose of microsoft office is to give your business functionability. If you need to write a letter, create labels, create a spreadsheet, create graphs, create a presentation, you will need an office suite that will allow you to do that. The business operating system is just that...an operating system. In lieu of spending $400 on microsoft's product, however, you can get the same functions from a free office application such as open office. You can go here to download it.
Do you use a firewall? If yes, have you tried it while your firewalls are deactivated (on both computers)? If it works with the deactivated firewall, find out whether the firewall prevents the application from using the network (unlikely) or whether it prevents specific ports from being used.
Without any applications running, start a cmd window. Type "netstat -a" (without the quotes). Now start Warcraft and create a new LAN game (server). Start a second cmd window, type "netstat -a". The new server should now be visible as one or more "LISTENING" entries. If not, Warcraft may not be working properly.
You may also have to create you game in a different way from when you create a game for the internet.
