Sounds like it needs to be recharged. plug it into the wall charger or your computer and do not disconnect until it tells you that the charge is complete... this takes time and disconnect it from the computer by dismounting it before disconnecting so not to cause problems

Try resetting it by first toggling the hold switch and putting it back in the off position. Then press and hold the center button and the menu simultaneously for six to ten seconds and it should work after that.

Blank blue screen nano.

Hi there,
  • First of all do a reset by holding down the Select and Menu buttons.
  • When it's restarted it if it hasn't solved it press and hold the Select and Menu buttons but as soon as the screen goes dark press and hold the Select and rewind buttons. This puts the iPod into diagnostics mode.
  • From there go to 'IO' on the list using the wheel and Select then to Display and keep clicking select as it goes through the different colours and graduations. Hopefully you see them all
  • when it comes to the end it will ask yo to press Menu, so do that.
  • Click Menu again and again until you see reset at the bottom of a list. Go to this and select it.
  • It will now reset and all will be good in the world.
If that hasn't fixed it then it's likely the ribbon for the LCD has become dislodged or damaged. If it has, let me know.

All the best
