Cant get the controller for my fujitsu auy18asd to work with the unit theres no beeping or nothing

An easy way to check the remote is to use a digital camera. Turn the camera on and point the remote at the lens. Look at the camera screen and press a button on the remote. If it is working, you should see the transmitter flash a purple/blue colour. This is not visible with the naked eye so you have to use a digital camera to see it. A phone camera works fine. If you see the transmitter flashing, the remote is probably ok and the receiver board or controller board in the head unit is faulty.

I have a Fujitsu Inverter heat and cool model SET-ASTA12LCC - about 14 months old. when you turn it on it gives off a horrible chemical smell. any suggestions as to what it could be?

I ahve an ASTA12LCC model and was on constant for 3 months(21 degrees auto). When I tried to shut it off by remote it would not. I had to power down by control switch outside
I have used the remote on another unit and it transmits fine.

I have a fujitsu twin head air con that is at least 10 years old the external compressor is not turning on but it does work my fridge mech was not sure of problem but thought it was the control board not...

The outdoor PCB has a series of led's on it which indicate the status of what is operating. If the lights are on and nothings working then you will need a new outdoor pcb which is only availible from fujitsu.

A/C will not respond to remote control.

The unit has a problem with the safety device, its either defective or have some error. Try to reset the error by disconnecting the power supply for 10sec. then "on" and try. If error still exists may be some of the safety device is defective. You need a qualified technician for this problem.

Check also the air filter if clean and clean if dirty and reset the error.

Replace remote control unit model ar-fb2

If your remote control have display but cannot transmit signal to the unit. Confirm first if the remote is really the problem, using your camera or cellphone camera as your eyes point the remote transmitter to your camera and "on" the remote. You should see light emits in your remote control, if no emitted light then the remote control is defective. But if there is a light the defect is in the unit receiver.

Check also if there is a reset or rst button in your remote control and reset it and try.

Check also if there are error codes in the unit, reset the unit by disconnecting the power supply in the unit for 10 sec. and "on" again and try.

The unit can be operate without remote control, use the manual button located in the unit.

If the remote control have no display replacement of remote is recommended.

Aou18c1 not shutting off

Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, Sanyo mini-split indoor fan motors operate continuoulsy. The room-temperature sensor is inside the unit, so the fan motor needs to circulate air continuouly to sense room-air temperature. This is normal operation.
