Hello,
1. option - Removing Windows 8 by installing Windows 7 over it*:
Go to the disc where you have the Windows 7 installer.
Then right click, click on Mount, when done, click on the Setup file and install Windows 7 over your current system.
2. option - Keeping Windows 8 and installing Windows 7 alongside it**:
Restart the Windows 8 system, before Windows logo shows up, keep pressing F12, then choose the disc you have Windows 7 .iso file on.
3. option - Running it from a DVD, but keeping/removing*** Windows 8:
a) go to the disc where you have the Windows 7 .iso file installer.
b) move the .iso file to a easily accessible place like Desktop.
c) then right click on the .iso file and click on Burn disk image, choose the DVD you want to boot from ( You need a readable DVD), and then check the checkbox which says " Verify disc after burning ".
d) click on Burn.
e) when that is done, close all open programs or/and windows and restart your computer, before Windows logo shows up, keep pressing F12, then choose the disc you have Windows 7 installer on.
Note - please read everything carefully. I suggest you to use the 3. method.
* - when in the setup, you have no option to go back to Windows 8.
** - this step might not work, because not all computers support that.
*** - you can choose to either create a new partition on which you will install Windows 7 or install it over Windows 8 by either kepping or not keeping your personal files.
Please reply to this solution: did it help you or not and what improvements in my solutions do you want, and rate my solution from 0-5.

SOURCE: Acer Aspire 1690 cooling problem whit windows vista

Windows Vista is a very demanding Operating system when it comes to system resources and it doesnt come as a shock to hear that you computer runs warmly, If you werent experiencing any problems when you had windows XP installed, I would suggest downgrading to Window XP, otherwise wait for October 22 and purchase a genuine copy of Windows 7 and use that.

Windows 7 is a very good operating system. But, the laptop may have a slow processor. Try to see if you can upgrade the processor to a core 2 duo or above. Also, try to upgrade or increase the memory to 2 gigabytes or above to 4 gigabytes if possible. The computer is guaranteed to speed up with memory and processor upgrades. Also, try to upgrade the hard disk drive to a SSD or Solid State Drive and you will see awesome speed.

Asus k50ij usb boot

Get you favorite bootable ISO image and using "ImageWriter.exe" application (under Windows 7/8) you could "transfer" the ISO to your USB device. In that way, your USB device becomes a bootable device. To boot from a USB device, your laptop should be "equiped" with a proper BIOS. Go to BIOS and change the boot order by having your USB stick already inserted in one of USB port (otherwise, you couldn't select to boot from USB!)

Instead of "ImageWriter.exe" application, you could use also "Win32DiskImager". For any of them, google it!

Windows 7 installation disc doesn't see SATA hard drive

If your motherboard's BIOS is properly configured for SATA controllers and you burned the Windows 7 RC1 ISO image correctly, Windows 7 should recognise and install on a SATA drive without any third-party drivers. Consult your motherboard's User's Guide for assistance in setting up the BIOS properly.

NEC laptop will not boot from disk or USB

just make sure ISO files or DVD you are using to boot with are actually bootable disc for OS ,as for USB booting ,you will need to turn on usb boot on the bios and software needs to be USB software.
and I am not talking about boot order that you have already selected.
check windows 8 software on anther machine and see if you can boot with it

Hello,
I would suggest you check the BIOS if everything is detected properly. Like the hard drive and the memory. If both are working properly and being detected by BIOS properly, then you just might need to install your Windows 7 thru USB. You might need to use a different computer to convert your Win 7 OS DVD to USB installer.
1. Use a different computer w/ DVD 2. Use ISO software to convert the Win7 DVD to ISO 3. Download the converter from this link click here or directly from this link 4. Make sure you have an available USB Flash Disk that has a capacity of 4GB or higher. 5. Once you're done converting the Win7 DVD to an ISO file, use the tool above to convert the ISO file into a USB installer.
This will only work if your hard drive is properly detected. Bootmgr error means 2 things, either the hard drive is not detected or corrupted windows installation.
Hope this helps!

I can`t install windows 7 the DVD not boot i copy the files to the hd but don`t boot what can i do to install win7

If you have downloaded a copy of Win 7, it will probably be an image file (ISO).
You burn the disc as an image, use free Imgburn.
This will now be bootable.
You will need to enable booting from cd/dvd first in the bios ( boot order)
