Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Make sure you have a soundcard installed of course (was it this way when you got it or is it a recent problem?), then go to Start > Run >services.msc , and look for Windows Audio. Right click on the name and select Start, the right click on the second column and select Properties. In the drop-down box, select automatic. If it doesn't work immediately, then try restarting your computer.
