My printer is printing the pages too far up and over to the right
Things on top and on the right side of the page are missing. I may have forgotten to align the last cartridge I put in. It seems unlikely, though, since there's usually a prompt. If that could cause the problem, I need to know how to bring up that paper to use to do it.
If that's not the issue, I need help to know how to fix it!
Re: My printer is printing the pages too far up and over...
To aling the printer, try to go to tool option in printers menu and press aling option. Also try to set
all printer settings to default.
If you are facing difficulty to print from all kinds of applications from your computer than issue can be a driver issue. So try to add a HP990C deskjet pritner and try to print using it. It should work.

A black section down one side of the page could be a couple of things.
1) The Corona Wire Cleaner (The sliding piece on top of the Drum Unit normally either Green or Blue) is not at it's correct rest spot which is where the arrow on the slider and the arrow on the drum unit meet.
2) There is something stuck on the drum or in the laser. Check that there is no scraps of paper caught up in the workings.
Printing too far to one side can be caused by a misalignment of the laser. Turning the machine off for a few minutes may rectify the problem. Otherwise the paper is placed in the tray off-center. Make sure the paper uides on the tray are set snug on the paper.
This is a problem with your paper. Using multi-part forms on an impact printer will get lighter print on each layer working from the top form to the bottom. The "carbon" paper has to impact the paper hard enough to make the marks. If your top and bottom copies look good but some in the middle are light it is a problem with the "carbon" paper and not the printer. Now IF the top page is light and each copy under that is getting lighter then you need to close your platen gap (the lever on the right side of the machine mark A B C) go one click at a time (darkening) until the print quality looks good (or you go too far and it pinches the paper and jams *not good*)
Refer to the following table Cause Solution How common* Contamination in the laser path 1. Clean the laser path. (Remove the laser/scanner assembly and clean the lens.) 2. Replace the laser/scanner assembly 8 Defective fuser. Replace the fuser assembly 3 Lack of toner or faulty toner cartridge. Redistribute the toner in the toner cartridge. If the problem continues, replace the toner cartridge. 7
Sounds like you have a torn/missed fixing film. look up over the fixing unit (the one that gets one) and try to find a gray tu, it should be complete, from left to right and not torn. no parts should be missing. if one border is like orange or missing then your problem is the fixing film.
