Question about Dell Dimension 5100 (D51L1) PC Desktop
It has McAfee on it, has been running well...however it has been freezing up on occasion and is difficuolt to turn off. Sometimes, control, alt and delete is the only way to get out of things. It has also had trouble turning off or restarting at other times. I have experienced more problems since being on etsy.com. I have deleted temporary files daily as a result and it runs better when I do that. Yesterday, when going into Paypal, it froze up. Had to control, alt and delete, but it wouldn't respond for a few minutes. When it finally turned off, we rebooted the whole system. My computer would not turn on again since then. It is plugged into surge protector power supply.
Hello sorry for your problem,
push the F6 function key and go into Safe Mode and then remove McAfee from your computer. Go Into the control panel and click on Add/Remove Software, once Mcafee is remove reboot your computer and reinstall it if you choose, but you must go into the advance move and learn how to allow other programs to access the internet. There are other anti-virus software that are not memory hogs. Like AVG
