Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router
This video should help. Same steps for a Mac except instead of cmd, open a bash shell and instead of ipconfig the command is ifconfig.

SOURCE: password for my linksys router
from windows internet explorer type this into your url window. "http://192.168.0.1" This should be the default IP address for your router unless it has been changed. This will open a dialog window asking for user name and password. for user name type in "admin" and I think the password is left blank as a default. If correct, this should get you into router menu and setup functions. Hopefully you will be able to find the info you need.

Try to reset the Linksys router. The reset button is commonly located at the back of the router and its a small whole that you need a pen to reset it. The drivers cane be download at http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/WRT54GL/download
Things to do are:
1. Connect your router to the computer using ethernet cable (RJ45)2. Press and hold the Reset Button for approximately five seconds (this will reset it to factory settings)
3. On you computer open internet explorer and on the address bar type Router’s default IP address 192.168.1.1
4. A password request screen will appear by default Username field blank and the default password admin
Now you can configure your Linksys router
