Question about Xerox CopyCentre C20 Black and White Copier
This copier has been worked great for years. recently it stared to moans when copying. Now when I turn on the maching: it moans and then kepts trying to warm up. can you help me?
2 Things I can think of off hand. Try removing your drum and then turn it by hand. The cleaning blade will tuck and sort of jam up in the drum cartridge, making a moaning sound.
With it trying to warm up though it may be a bad fuser bushing.
To remove that, open the right side door, on the upper portion of the transport you will see an item with a couple of yellow warning stickers on it, that is the fuser. Look on each side of it, you will see 2 silver phillips screws, remove those along with that plastic cover on tne back side, disconnect the one white plug and remove the fuser. Try to spin that, if that is really really tight you will have to replace that unit. Those are the most likely problems, could be the toner cart, tho less likely. If the main motor or laser motor were bad the machine would fault out.
Let me know, We will resolve this.
