Question about DeLonghi BAR 32 Espresso Machine

Open Question

Not dripping, or dripping VERY slowly

I ran a vinegar solution thru my machine and got busy and forgot about it. It was running "dry" for probably 15-30 minutes. I tried to make a cup of espresso this morning and it barely dripped. The motor comes on, but doesn't seem to be making coffee. Is my machine a done deal or is it possibly repairable? Thanks!!

SOURCE: the machine is making a grinding noise and barely

Check the grind on the espresso... may be leaning too fine. also you may be overloading the portafilter...the model will only handle like 12-14 grams I believe.

Keeps dripping after coffee is finished

There could be a small clog in the line where it slows the flow & then remaining water continues to slowly drip after brewing is done. Try running vinegar through it.

Bialetti mini espresso coming out very slowly

Hi there... have had this problem. sounds like you have minerals deposit problem. Put vinegar in water tank, then start machine to let all vinegar come out , it should clean it well. then do over again with water so next coffee doesn't taste like vinegar .If by the time the vinegar pasted through and water doesn't come out faster , it must be another problem. Hope this helps.

I descaled my coffee maker with 1 1/2 gal vinegar after flushing all the vinegar through it, the descale sign went off but now the coffeemaker keeps shutting itself off. It is "toast?"

The problem is often that the machine develops a leak in the hose that is rightover the transformer...the water drips onto the transformer and kills that...then you have no power to run the machine.

Here is a tip that I wrote about this problem...

The water no longer shoots out. Now it slowly drips and does not brew the cup of coffee. Any ideas?

run white vinegar or CLR thru it, see if it is just clogged up, if not then the heating coils are bad, just toss it

Water dripping slowly

You can get urnex at most reputable kitchen shoppes or order it. it will do a great job or you can run vinegar through the machine... be aware that it will smell horrible and will nedd to have at least 2 or 3 cycles of water ran afterwards but brewing this cycle a couple of times will bust up the lime. Doing it every month or so afterwards will keep it from coming up again. That would be my first step... hope that helps!

No water through the head!!

I had the same problem - all water going down into the tray at the bottom - virtually none through the coffer basket. I couldn't find citric acid at the store to descale so I used white vinegar instead. I 3/4 filled the reservoir with warm water, and added about 1/2-2/3 cup of vinegar. I first ran water through the 'hot water' button (it comes out the steam spout). Then I ran the entire reservoir through the machine using the 2-cups option. It started running right away. I rinsed out the reservoir with fresh water, then ran a whole reservoir of fresh water through the machine to get rid of the vinegar smell. The first cup of espresso after this treatment was as good as ever. Phew! I thought we were up for a new machine!
