I am trying to follow the directions to and have recorded a primary message for my company phone. It seems like I am doing something incorrect because the old message comes up. I changed the message and re-recorded it and it still comes through with the old message. I have looked online for the directions and am unable to find them. THis is for recording a main message when a caller calls, the lines are busy, they receive an option to dial 22 and leave a message for bob. Can you guide me to the online directions or help me. Thank you

The introduction message is usually setup as a custom service menu. You need to determine if this is the case by logging into the message managers mailbox and listening to find the current greeting. To log into the message manager mailbox, call voicemail, dial #6 then *98(for 2 digit mailboxes) or *998(for 3 digit mailboxes) or *9998(for 4 digit mailboxes), enter password followed by #. Once in the message managers mailbox, press 5 to record messages. Your introduction message could be the company greeting or a custom service menu. Press 1 for the company greeting and follow the prompts to listen to the greeting. Press 3 for the custom service menu, then enter the custom service number 1-100( in your case start with 1 until you find the current introduction message) and follow the prompts to listen to the message. Once you have found the current introduction message record your new message and save.
If you recieve the message "mailbox locked" then the password was incorrectlyentered too many times.

Sounds like you have a complete recording in the company greeting and another complete recording in the CCR tree. The scenario you described is exactly what happens when you have recorded the entire greeting under company greeting and the CCR tree greeting. A quick solution is to record 1 or 2 seconds of silence in either the company greeting or the CCR tree greeting. Do you know where or how the last greeting was recorded? If you do I would reord the silence in that place.
The short version of getting to your greeting is:
Feature 981 or open voicemail key
"2" for greetings
"1" for record
"1" for primary greeting
"'1" to record your greeting
at the tone record your greeting
"#" to end recording
after you record press 1 to listen 2 to retry or # to accept
press "rls" key when finished
hope that helped.
