If you mean the BIOS for your computer (not the monitor), try tapping DEL while the computer powers up. This will enter the BIOS in most computers.

How do i change from safe mode to normal?

Do you mean that every time you boot it boot into safe mode?
Once you restart your computer it should boot into normal mode.
I guess you must be running Windows, restart the machine, once it start to boot, press repeatedly the f8 keys. This will take you to a page where it gives you various options. Choose start Windows normally. If it doesn't work, then you could try factory default the BIOS just to see if that works.

How can i open a bios set up of my apple mac laptap

Macs do not have a BIOS. You can start up in verbose mode by holding Command+V on startup, and you can select various boot-up options by holding down various keys. For example, holding down 'alt' (Option) gives you a list of all the possible start up volumes.
Have a look here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1343 for all of these options.
Depending on what you're trying to change, it's entirely possible that you can do it through System Preferences. What is it you are trying to change?

I am trying to use the fraction button but instead a backwards L pops up and various other problems with other keys. It is in mode M and D according to the top.

On old calculators fraction elements are separated by what you call a "backward L". If there is only one "backward L", the number to its left is the numerator, and the one on its right is the denominator.
If you have two "backward L", you are dealing with mixed numbers: The first number (to the left) is the integer portion. The number in the middle is the numerator of the fraction part, and the last number is the denominator of the fraction part.
Ex: 3 1/2 appears as 3 u 1 u 2. Here u stands for your "backward L".

As to your "various other problems with other keys" I am sorry I cannot imagine what you mean you will have to say more.

If you wan to see stacked fractions (multi-level ones) as you enter them, set Input/Output mode to MathIO. To do so, press [SHIFT][MODE] and select [1:MathIO].

If you do not want stacked fractions, press [SHIFT][MODE][2:LineIO].

Hi Guys,

I had this issue and after checking the BIOS and various other tests in safe mode, solved it by following these simple steps.

Go to "Ease of Access centre"

Choose "Make the mouse easier to use"

Uncheck "Turn on mouse keys"

Choose Apply and ok.

Worked for me, might work for you.

Cheers

I have forgot my word password ,how can i open it.

The BIOS password is removed by the BIOS configuration, you need the BIOS password to get into the BIOS configuration. But if you do not have the BIOS password then you need to construct this dongle device.
TOSHIBA BIOS PASSWORD DONGLE
You can build a dongle that plugs into the printer port.Purchase a 25 pin male D sub connector and solder insulated wires to the various pins as listed below. The pins are numbered on the connector
http://www.tilman.de/sonstiges/toshiba/dongle1.jpg this is a picture of the finished dongle

Wire the pins as follows :-1-5-10, 2-11, 3-17, 4-12, 6-16, 7-13, 8-14, 9-15
Plug the finished dongle in the printer port and power up the laptop. The password will be reset, go into the BIOS configuration to check the BIOS password, you may have to disable the BIOS password.

Dell Inspiron 1440 keyboard keys issue

you need to isolate this issue first.
where are you typing? inside IE or in MSWord?
If both has issues then try typing in the DOS Command Window. If same issue try to boot in safe mode and check if you will still be getting same issue in safe mode. If all yes try to check the bios and update it by downloading the latest bios version from the support site from dell.
