Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
We know what the F21 error code is...we have taken the pump apart and cleaned it out but the little white "wheel" was broken off so it wasn't working right. My husband tried to JB weld it back together and after it dried and he put it all back together and ran a test cycle it seemed to be fixed. I went to run a load of laundry today and the noise was back and the F21 error code. We are assuming that piece broke off again. Just curious if anyone has had this problem or knows if you can just replace that white "wheel" or if it's neccessary to replace the whole pump????
You will want to just replace the whole pump. It only costs around 40 dollars to replace the pump, maybe less. They don't really sell parts to repair a pump, they just sell the pumps. I used to work for Sears as a repair man and saw this problem all the time. Just make sure to always run your hand through that door boot between washes to make sure nothing is in there. Also make sure there is nothing in any pockets before washing because if there is it will make it to the pump and do it all over again. It's a pain and a flaw that they need to fix on these machines. Let me know if you have any other questions and let me know if this was helpful for you. Good luck and I am glad I could help.
