Question about Bosch Nexxt Premium WFMC6400UC Front Load Washer
My new washer shakes while spinning. A service man told me to check and make sure the shipping staps had been removed from the back of the washer (inside a panel). I opened the panel, but did not see any strap. Is there something else that ties this thing down during shipping that might not have been loosened or removed? I have the washer on soft tile floor (it's kinda spongy). The service man said this was the best floor to have it on since it absorbs some of the shock. I am thinking about putting a 1/2 inch plywood base under it. Will that make it worse?
The ply wood will probably make it better. If this is your first front loader then this is all going to be new to you. Front loaders have so much force during the spin cycle and all of that force goes straight to the floor. It will shake like crazy and sound like a plane flying through your house if your floor is not strong. The best thing to do would be to hire someone to come out and go under the house to stabilize the floor under the washer. A simple 2x4 under the washer will do and minimize the shaking. Let me know if you have any other questions and let me know if this was helpful for you. Good luck and I am glad that I could help you.
