I have a Static noise coming from the right channel of my mixer. I hear it coming out the right speaker as well as the right ear of my headphones (jack). How can I fix this?

That sounds like a bad connection but it can also indicate your mixer has a problem. If it occurs on all channels it is the mixer, if only one then the problem is in the input. Check your cables, they are a big culprut in problems like this.

I have a galaxy 33hml and i can not figure out how to set it up with the nobs i mean can you help me....

first of all is it set up to a antenna source? if so then turn the squelch nob counter clockwise all the way, then turn the device on. next start at channel one and slowly turn the squelch clockwise until the pin moves or you hear static. then surf the channels adjusting the squelch to to that static point until you find your active station. from there to cancel static between transmissions turn the squelch so that it is just below the static marker.

It is an old speaker (DM601 S2) but well cared for. Have clear sound in one speaker and static in the other.

It sounds like a ground problem with the speaker crossover circuit or the amplifier. Turn the amp off and disconnect one speaker and interchange it with the other using the same speaker wires. If the static speaker is now working interchange the speaker wires and try it again. Or if the same speaker still has static it is the speaker. If the static is on the same channel then you have a bad wire or if both channels work it was a bad connection. If the problem remains on the same channel change the speaker wires. If the problem switched to the other channel then it is a bad speaker wire or connection. If the same speaker has the same problem it is most likely the crossover circuit in the speaker which is used to filter frequencies of the audio signal by using capacitors and coils. If the static speaker is now working and the other speaker is now not working it is the amplifier. If the static problem is on all input devices I would trouble shoot the preamp section of the amplifier.

Static on all cable channels

The tuner is questionable The problem lies inside the isolation box. Ask a repairman to open this isolation box and resolder the small board. There are two small resistors that need resoldered. This also has the rf connector on it. And you may have him resolder the tuner if this does not fix it. Have him inspect any and all grounds on the main board as well. Good Luck

Please explain the working of this code

It's a Java http server (webserver) that serves random "prices" if they match a search string.

Well here is an explaination:

private static String[] symbols = {"DELL", "INTC", "MSFT", "ORCL", "SUNW"};
These are search strings

private static Random rnd = new Random();
This generates a random number

private static Charset cs = Charset.forName("UTF-8");
This is the charset that the http server uses

ServerSocketChannel server = ServerSocketChannel.open();
Create a new server

server.socket().bind(new InetSocketAddress(8055));
Bind the http server to port 8055

The rest is handling the request and processing it

But here:
if(Arrays.binarySearch(symbols, symbol) >= 0)
response = "Price is " + (1000 + rnd.nextInt(9000)) / 100.0;
else
response = "Price not available";
channel.write(cs.encode("HTTP/1.0 200 OK "));
channel.write(cs.encode("Content-type: text/plain "));
channel.write(cs.encode(response));
channel.close();
}
It sees if the string input matchs: DELL INTC MSFT ORCL SUNW.

(private static String[] symbols = {"DELL", "INTC", "MSFT", "ORCL", "SUNW"};)
If so, it gives a price based on a random number.
(
response = "Price is " + (1000 + rnd.nextInt(9000)) / 100.0;)
Or else
It says "price not available"
then it gives a html header to end the error message.

Hope I helped you :)
Gook luck
