get the message up on the screen and choose the 'MORE' option , scroll down to 'DELETE MESSAGE' and select.
You may also choose 'DELETE ALL MESSAGES' and it will do so after confirmation of your intention to do so is selected.

what if my phone is not by contract? call the service provider head office for the the phone too?
