If you are using a Win Xp computer than try to scan using scanners and cameras utility under control panel. Else you can download HP scan drivers and perform scanning. Also 3rd party scan softwares such as photo shop will allow you to  scan.

Hi

The problem must be a simple one. It shuld be due to installation of wrong driver. You can please goto HP PSC 950 support page in HP website and download latest driver for both scanner and printer and try it out. I feel like your problem will be resolved.

Thank you.

I can't scan documents into my computer. I need this done ASAP. I'm using a HP 950 printer/scanner/fax/copier. I don't know why it will not scan. Please help.

Hi,
Try using the HP Solution Center Icon instead of using the button on the printer itself. If you already are doing that then check in My Scans in the My Documents section. Should list as " SCAN001" or something similar.
Hope this Helps,

I need to scan a document from my printer/scanner (HP psc 950) onto my PC. I have pushed all the obvious button and thought I was downloading the image from the scanner to my computer. Turns out I was not....

I believe this printer comes with the Readiris Pro 5.5 software for OCR.
If this is installed on your computer use it to scan the document and send it to your desired location/application by selecting it in the text format screen.
All this is done from the computer not the scanner.
Any questions, re post and I'll try to help.

Hp psc 950 from scanner to pc save

I was having the same problem when I pressed the "Scanner" and then "PC Save" buttons. But I found that if you have the printer software installed on your PC, you can double-click on the printer icon that should be on your desktop, and a window will come up where you can scan, copy & view images, etc. Hope that helps.
