Re: My Printer has an Error Message saying "card slot not...
1. Turn the printer on. 2. When the memory count start Press and Hold the "Menu" button. 3. Release the "Menu" button when all 3 LEDs are illuminated. 4. Press the 'back' button. 5. The display will then show "Initialize disks". 6. Press the green "Check" button to start the process. This will take some time. 7. The printer will automatically come back to "Ready" after this procedure.
If the above doesn't work, you may have a bad memory card.

EIO is the External Input Output slot that is on the formatter of the printer. the 8150 has 2 EIO slots (EIO 0 or EIO 1). One of the slots is probably the JetDirect card (network card) for the printer. The second slot might be a hard drive but is usually open.
If you are getting a EIO error first try reseating the JetDirect card (power off the printer first). If you are still getting the error pull the card and power up the device with out the card installed. if the error goes away power down the unit and install the card in the other EIO slot. if the card works you have a bad slot on the formatter but you should be good to use the device. If you get another EIO error the card is probably bad.
Welcome to FixYa...
I assume the message is not an error message and does not indicate an issue with the product. The message is designed to be an invitation to print photos from a memory card. Follow these steps to insert a memory card into the product.
Locate the memory card slot on the front of the product that is compatible with the memory card to be printed from. Each type of memory card slot accepts only one type of memory card, and only one memory card can be inserted at a time.
Insert the memory card into the appropriate memory card slot.
Some times you may be trying to print Some Data may be from Memory card , you Choose already-But actually your MMC not in/Not Properly in...Hope you find it.....Thanks for Contacting FixYa...
Try the same memory card in a pc to check if it works ... if it does then check the slot where the card gets plugged in... try a different card that also does not work means printer memory card slot is bad
i am trying to copy my photos from my 4 GB SD memory card on to my computer through my printer HP PSC 2355 all in one printer. But as soon as i put the card into the slot it turns green and the a couple of minutes later turn Red and flashes and i cannot read it on my computer
The HP Color LaserJet 4650 printer also has three flash memory card slots for printer firmware, fonts, and other solutions. The HP Color LaserJet 4610n does not include any available flash
memory card slots.
■ The first CompactFlash slot is reserved for printer firmware.
NOTE Use the first flash memory card slot for firmware only. The slot is marked “Firmware Slot.”
■ The two additional CompactFlash memory slots in the HP Color LaserJet 4650 printer enable the user to add fonts and third-party solutions, such as signatures and personalities. The slots are
marked "Slot 2" and "Slot 3."
These card slots are located inside the Formater unit. Most likely you either are missing the firmware card or it's defective.
Hope this helps!
Turn the printer on.
2 As the printer performs its power-on sequence, press and hold the PAUSE/RESUME (HP Color
LaserJet 4600 models) or MENU (HP Color LaserJet 4610n and 4650 models) button until all
three lights on the control panel are lit.
3 Press . The message INITIALIZE DISK appears on the control-panel display.
4 Press The printer initializes the hard disk and continues its power-on sequence.
Error 1203 on a Lexmark is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad
or the printer cartridge Slot is bad... I would suggest you to try
cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the
printer and try again..
If that doesn't work just call up their support number and check for replacement..
You have Firmware problem. You must download latest firmware for this machine. After that copy firmware files on CF card type 1. Just put CF card with files in CF card slot in printer( There is slot on the back side of printer. If you have network card you must remove it to access slot.Switch on printer.....After correct download all LEDs blinking.Switch OFF and remove CF card.
