Wash cycles far too long!

Just acquired a flat to let out, but the new tenants say the washer takes 2-3 hours to do the 30 min cycle and 5-6 hours to do the 60 minute cycle. The washing comes out very hot and a bit smelly! What are my possibles here, anyone? Thanks ****

Also check that the exhaust for the dryer is not blocked with bits of fibre. this would slow down the drying process, and highten smell

Re: wash cycles far too long!

You may have the hot and cold hoses connected wrong way round. water flow from hot is often very slow hence the extended times. to check, put on rinse which should let cold water in. see if it is in fact hot water coming in and this confirms hoses wrong way round. just interchange them. smell could be due to using liquid detergent. change to powder type

How long does it take in a full cycle of wash to dry

Depends on several things. How big the drum is eg 6 kg or 7kg .the spin speed... The material ie. cotton drys faster than woollen it a washer dryer or do you have a separate dryer.normal full load 6kg on a 1200 rpm spin of mixed fibres takes 1 hours 30 mins at 40 c then the dry time can take roughly 1 hour to 90 mins.

The wash cycles are taking very long

Sounds like you have a heater problem. Program 5 should take around an hour and 6 should be around 30 min, both with the heater on according to asko's manual. So I would get the heater element checked.
