Question about Maytag Dryers
I have a gas dg7500. My burner ignites but, I do not have a strong constant flame. The flame runs strong, then sputters (doesn't go completely out) then burns again cycling over and over. The clothes take longer than normal to dry and it seems to run forever without automatically shutting off on Regular cycle.
You are going to want to check and make sure there is proper air flow from the vent outside the house. If it feels weak then you will need to get it cleaned out. If enough air is not exiting the thermostat will shut off the flame for safety reasons. If your air flow seems to be working okay then it may be a problem with the thermostat. Let me know if you have any other questions and let me know if this was helpful. Good luck and I am glad i could help.
