Is the laptop plugged into the AC adapter?
Sometimes when a laptop is unplugged it will automatically disable the network adapter in order to save on power.
Other than that it could be the driver missing.

You need to reinstall the wifi drivers.

Alternatively you can use the Microsoft troubles shooter by going to the control panel, picking network and sharing centre, then adaptor settings and selecting your adaptor. Then right click and from the menu, select diagnose. This will reset the adaptor if it has become locked up.

My toshiba satelite won't connect to the internet and i get an error message saying its my network adaptors. does this mean its a software problem or will i have to physically remove and replace the...

Hello.

Test your laptop at a different location to see if any difference.

If still the network adapter, first try to update the driver by going to Device Manager, find the network adapter and select update. You'll actually be reinstalling the current driver software.

If still a problem, the network adapter would need to be physically removed and replaced.

Hope this helps.

We have just reinstalled windows on a toshiba satellite t2050 laptop and the drivers for the network adaptors were not installed...we cannot connect to the internet...any suggestions?

there should've been a restore disc that came with the computer. If you have it you will be able to restore drivers offline. If it didn't come with one you may have a model where the back up/restore disc needs to be burned from the hdd.

Toshiba wont charge

Sound like you may have the wrong power cord for your unit. The original power adaptor for the A105 is 75W (15V x5A) Auto sensing 100-240V/50-60MHz frequency input. If you got a replacement adaptor, I would reccomend a 75W or higher adaptor. (A new opposed to a used one.) Good Luck.

More signal and run faster

The only way to get a better signal would be to get an external wireless adaptor. I need to know what you are using and what kind of network you are logging onto.
This is just one site that shows how many choices you have. If you can determine what you need for a network adaptor then just google the words wireless adaptor or wireless network adaptor. As i said this is the only way i know to get a better signal.
Tip: N-network covers the largest area = best reception

Wireless cannot detect any network despite claims to be working fully

Try first dissabling the wired network adaptor, so as the pc is not looking for the wrong area connection. If you have used Windows to try to repair the connection the settings will be wrong for the router addreses. Go to your wireless network cards properties and make sure that on the internet protocol the obtain IP address automatically is selected. Run this flush:- Click Start>Run, then type ipconfig /flushdns then press enter. Re-start pc and type the routers address in your internet browser. Go to your router settings and ensure enable DHCP is set to automatically allocate ip addresses.
