Locate and delete the file 'downloads.sqlite' from the Firefox Directory, and if it exists, 'downloads.rdf'.

If this doesn't work, try the Tips Here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_save_or_download_files

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Do you have a phone number for help in installing?

You need to rephrase your question. It's not clear what you are trying to do. Are you trying to watch a movie?. Or install a program or ?. Firefox is a web browser - I don't understand what you mean by "install a DVD for watching"... and why you would use Firefox to do this.

How to change where Firefox saves downloaded files

Firefox by default saves anything that you download -- music, movies, documents, etc. -- to a specific Downloads folder. However, many users aren't aware of where this folder is, and they don't want to have to hunt it down every time to find their downloads.<br /><br />By following the steps below, you can change the location where Firefox saves your downloads. You can have them sent to your desktop, a network folder, a thumb drive, or anywhere else that is accessible from your computer.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">To change Firefox's download location:</span><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">1.</span> Open Firefox.<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">2.</span> On the menu bar across the top, click <span style="font-weight: bold;">Tools</span>.<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">3.</span> Select <span style="font-weight: bold;">Options</span> from the drop down menu.<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">4.</span> If the General tab at the top of the window is not highlighted, select it now.<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">5.</span> Under the Downloads heading, after "<span style="font-style: italic;">Save files to</span>," click the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Browse </span>button.<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">6.</span> Choose a folder or location for Firefox to save your downloaded files to. You can create a new folder by highlighting the location where you want the folder to be and clicking the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Make New Folder</span> button in the lower left corner of the window.<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">7.</span> Once you've selected the folder that you want and it's highlighted, click <span style="font-weight: bold;">OK</span> to close the Browse window.<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">8.</span> If you would rather have Firefox prompt you where to save files every time you download something, click the circle next to "<span style="font-style: italic;">Always ask me where to save files</span>." (This option is helpful if you want to save different kinds of downloads to different locations.)<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">9.</span> Click <span style="font-weight: bold;">OK</span> once you are done to close the window and apply the change.

How do you know when you have finish download and how do you go back and see what you have download?

Hello,

If you are downloading files with Internet Explorer go to the Tools menu and click on 'Internet Options'.
Then select the 'Advanced' tab, scroll down and make sure the box next to 'Notify when downloads are complete' is checked. That way you will be notified when your downloaded files are completely downloaded. Internet Explorer always asks you where you want the downloaded file saved. But it is easy to not notice this step.

If the file you download is always run instead of saved that is a completely different issue.

If you are using Firefox to download your files then go to the tools menu and select 'Options'. On the 'General' tab you can select:

To always show the file download management dialog when ever downloading a file. Or to not show it. (The file download management window can always be opened by selecting 'Downloads' from the 'Tool' menu. )

You can also select a folder for Firefox to always use to store your downloads.

Or, you select to have Firefox to always ask you where to store each download as you begin downloading it.

As for as where your downloads are being stored. If your browser is asking you for a location when you begin the download it is easy if you are new to this process to not notice where the download is being saved to. If a 'Save File' type dialog appears just make sure you make note of where the file is about to be saved to.

If your browser is set to a specific location and the 'Save FIle' type dialog does not appear the most common locations are either to your Desktop or to 'Documents and Settings\Downloads'.

I recommend that you set you browser to ask you where to place downloads when the downloading process begins as outlined above.

Hope that helps.

Toshiba laptop windows updates.i am not able to install them...

go into Services, stop Automatic Updates and the BITS services. Then delete, then start them up. When you do this, the Update History log is destroyed. So the next time you try to look at your history log on Windows/Microsoft Update, it will come back empty until you install again. Then it will show from that point. If you have not installed all updates in the SoftwareDistribution/Downloads folder, these will have to be downloaded again.

You have two options:-

1. Delete the entire SoftwareDistribution tree and lose Update History

2. OR Delete the Downloads folder only, keeping the Update History data file (located in the DataStore folder), and take the chance that you don't get out-of-sync of downloaded files/not installed.

However you could do this, but the corruption in the download file may remain

2. OR Delete the Downloads folder only, keeping the Update History data file (located in the DataStore folder), and take the chance that you don't get out-of-sync of downloaded files/not installed.

Whenever i download 3gp videos through mozilla firefox, they get stored in a pre-defined folder. the problem if that am not able to delete the folders once am through with them. the deleting window does...

Then I guess you should just change your mozilla firefox downloading option. Open your mozilla firefox browser, click the Tools button bar, then click the General button bar. Now click the "Always ask me where to save files" bullet button, then click the OK button bar. Now you can erase that predefined folder and at the same time modify what folder you will be saving your downloads.

    "MTP DB Mismatch Format?"

The Insignia NS-DA2G needs to be placed in File & Folder mode, and you'll need to have your mac show you all files on the device. Macs will create a smaller file that starts with "._" that contain very little information, but can cause problems with Windows based or Windows preferred devices. These files are not ignored by the PC or certain Windows optomized devices. You should erase these files for the unit to perform normally.

If you are unable to delete these files, you can re-format the device to FAT-32 and that will erase all information on the device. You shouls also hit the reset button (located next to the "HOLD" switch) for about 5-10 seconds to clear the internal settings.
