Actually if you can use a screwdriver you can fix this problem yourself. The glass can be accessed by taking off the screws holding the inside panel to the door on. The screws are visible. Once this panel is off you will see the screws that hold the plate glass in. Keep in mind that the gasket that goes around the glass and inside the door panel are there to keep microwaves from escaping. So in all this be sure to put it back in place right. I have fixed many doors and there really is nothing to mess up. Just put it back together the same way you took it off but in reverse of course. As far as cleaning the glass there is a product call Goof Off that comes in a spray. They sell it at Lowes or Home Depot either one. Use steel wool that you can get there as well and spray a generous amount on the steel wool until it drips slightly and not on the glass directly. Clean all the areas and kinda of use a dry rag to wipe off any excess. After you've taken care of the rust stains and are satisfied take a good glass cleaner like Windex and clean it like regular glass. Keep in mind that the whole door will come off and completely apart to get to both glasses and in between. I would comment additionally that what is in between the glass may be that way due to a leak through the gasket around between the inside and outside glass. However, inspect the gasket well and if you need to you can find a replacement through the dealer or manufacturer of that brand. Keep in mind also that leakage from the microwave door in any way could hurt someone with a heart pacemaker if they get close or someone else that has a battery in it such as people with embedded health units for muscles spasms after back surgeries and the like. Those are the most critical health issues to consider and to be sure that your gaskets are good.

Trying to replace handle on door, removed three screws on side of door unable to remove inside panel

Most microwave doors are just clipped together with plastic tabs.To remove the inner door panel you need to carefully pry the plastic frame off the inside with something like a small screwdriver or putty knife. Even being careful you may end up breaking the tabs or frame. Once the inner frame is removed you should be able to get to the handle screws. I'll try to attach a picture of the door breakdown.

Suddenly microwave stopped working

(would really like more info- digital number dead as well?)

(assuming completely dead) Could be a couple of things:
- blown fuses (inside, relatively easy to replace, std size avail at Raioshack) <-- most likely
- cut/loose power cord connection inside.
- (unlikely but worse case scenario) Door was closed crooked- one tong hit one door switch before the other- causing a short circuit internally that "self destructs" the microwave to prevent it ever operating with an open (or even crookedly ajar) door, irradiating any users. Typically it just blows the fuses, but if fuses blow immediately upon replacing and turning power on, then possibly one of the switches fused or melted internally, and needs to be replaced.

I have a whirlpool microwave model GH7155XKT. The door cover is cracked badly and I ordered and received the replacement part. I can not figure out how to replace the Choke or Cover

Hi deflcsw,
I see you need a manual on how to replace you Microwave Door.
I checked the Manual does not have info regarding how to replace the Door just the Bulb and the Filters in it see here .
To be able to get information on how to replace the Microwave door you will need to contact Whirlpool 1-800-253-1301, you may need the Model and serial number so they can provide you info about the door replacement over the Phone if the door cannot be replaced by you then they can reffer you to a local center near your address for the replacement to take place or possibly get soemone out to replace it for you.
I hope this helps.
Have a nice day, Thank you for choosing Fixya,

I replaced a cracked door on my Whirlpool microwave MH1150XMQ2 and now it wont work. The light stays on and I can enter info into the display, but the unit wont turn on.

The door is not adjusted correctly.
The micro switches in the cabinet are not making contact.
Radjust the door hinge until the switches are made correctly by the latches on the door.

How do I remove/replace the plastic seal on the inside door of a MH1150XMQ-1?

The clear plastic cover is glued on. It can be removed with a heat gun to soften the glue. Then clean with Goof Off or WD40 and alcohol before installing the new one.

Broken handle on whirlpool model MH7140XF. how do I remove the face of the door with out breaking it?

The door handle can easily be replaced on most microwave ovens by removing the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. The following link explains how to access and replace the door handle:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3696942-microwave_oven_door_handle_replacement

The average cost for a replacement handle usually averages about $20 - $40. Replacements may be purchased at the websites listed in the link I provided. If the model number you have this question listed under is correct, the part number for a replacement handle is available at appliancepartspros.com. There are several part numbers listed, based on the color of your oven, so make sure you order the correct handle. Here is the parts listing:

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you

Condensation inbetween glass door on GE Spacemaker

Your glass seal has failed and I doubt it makes sense to replace the door. Yes, it can be dangerous as the moisture becomes worse you risk the chance the glass could over-heat and blow out. Sounds like you need to replace it, sorry!
