Question about Sewing Machines
I have a problem with the needle going down, hitting metal and when looking at the bobbin area the mechanism does not move. Is this a major repair issue?

A bent needle will hit the metal. If it continues you will need to adjust the needle carrier. hopefully that isn't bent, but if so I don't believe that the replacement of it will be too costly.
