Hi,
Follow below instructions......
To use System Restore to restore Windows XP to a previous state, follow these steps:

  1. Log on to Windows as Administrator.
  2. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts.
  3. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next.
  4. On the Select a Restore Point page, click the most recent system restore point in the On this list, click a restore point list, and then click Next.

Note A System Restore message may appear that lists configuration changes that System Restore will make. Click OK.
  5. On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click Next. System Restore restores the previous Windows XP configuration, and then restarts the computer.
  6. Log on to the computer as Administrator. The System Restore Restoration Complete page is displayed.
  7. Click OK.
If you successfully restored your computer to a previous state, and the computer is performing as it should be, you are finished.

thank you.......

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

I want to reset my computer back to factory reset and i dont have the cd

Hello there:
Depending on the exact model you might have the hp restore counsil already installed on the computer like i do on this computer
You can try this go to start than all programs and look for the hewit packard and right click on this than you will see hp system tools and than right click on that and it will bring you to the system restore option and just click on that and you can start the restore feature from there.
But if you dont have this feature you can get the restore cd from hp
it cost about 30 dollars

Restore system

If when you first setup the computer didnt setup the restore partition you will need to either get a hold of a xp OEM edition cd and use the key on the bottom of the computer. Or pay about $12 or so to Acer for a restore CD.Either one of those require a external CD drive if you dont have one.

How do i restore factory settings to my packard bell desktop

If you want to restore your computer to factory settings, and you dont mind losing your files, you will need to get the cd recovery disc, put it in the cd-rom drive and reboot your computer. it will start the process from there.

beware, it will erase everything that currently is on there and when finished bring the computer to the original factory settings.

How to restore my acer e700-1e7u pc to factory setting

most of the times you might need the recovery CD's for that..

Do you have them?

If you do, Just put the first CD and restart the computer, you will get a wizard to restore your computer. REMEMBER: all your data will be erased.

If you dont' have the CD's you can try getting them from Acer or from websites like:
