There are instructions to replace the lamp in the user's manual. The light comes up but if the lamp has now already several hours of use the resistance of the lamp increases and shut down the power supply of the lamp. Second, the lamp power supply could be bad too, but lets be optimistic and just replace the lamp first.

Immediately Shuts off with blinking light codes

I suggest doing a google search using the tv model # and brand.
I have learned myself that different big screen tvs seem to each have their own common problems. I have read before of power supply issues that cause what your describing.

Lc-13av4u Shuts down 10 seconds

some projection tv's will do this if you do not touch another button within 10 seconds. Power your tv on then change the volume or channel. This should let your tv know that it was not an accidental power on. Hope this helps.

Shuts down automatically with red light

Push device and Menu in on the front panel together and hold for 8 seconds and see if the led blinks a two digit code. As it may be the lamp or quite possibly the Power PWB capacitors if it blink a 3 4 code.

Mitsubishi VS-55707 Rear Projection - Power button turned on, green light on television shows power but automatically shuts back off within a couple of seconds.

My brother had the same issue. I have the same set as well with this very issue. My brother had his fixed: repairman soldered the circuit board???? My brother could not tell me where on the circuit board or what circuit board???? IF there is anyone that knows about would be helpful. I DO NOT WANT TO have someone else do what I can fix myself....besides by the time I pay a repairman I am 1/3 of the way or better to a new set anyway!!! Thanks a bunch - Pam

Samsung PC J5225 shuts down after 3 - 5 seconds

It sounds like the tv power supply has problems. you probably should call a service center about a repair.

there are "safety" features built in to any tv with a "crt" type of screen that will not allow the tv to run when there is a problem.

I had the same problem with an RCA, check your sleep mode settings on it, it may have defaulted to 1 min, so it cuts off when it cuts on
