Question about Estate EED4300SQ Dryer
Heating element heats up but motor will not turn, the belt and everything looks fine. tried to remove motor but cant get it loose from the plastic blower on the back. am i working in the right direction any help would be great. i was told that the heating element shouldnt heat up unless the motor was turning because of the switch on it. wife is on my case (lol) any help at all. THANK YOU.
I had a simular problem with an estate dryer (model # EED4300TQ0 ) . I CHANGED THE MOTOR OUT AND THE DRYER IS WORKING GREAT NOW. THEIR IS A CENTRIFUGAL SWITCH INSIDE THE MOTOR HOUSING THAT WENT BAD. REPLACING THAT MOTOR FIXED MY PROBLEM.

Shut off power to dryer. take front off dryer, remove belt from motor and idler pully (if there is one) try turning the motor shaft by hand. if it doesn't turn ,take off back of dryer and remove blower housing and see if anything is blocking the impellers.. if not any of these then you may have to get professional help it may be a bad motor or timer
