Can´t connect my laptop to tv monitor

Hi, I can´t connect my laptop Acer Aspire 4720z to a tv plasma SURE 42" like a monitor, I try to connect in other tv (Sony, Lg) and was succesfully but in this brand (sure) I did not could connect.

In the tv, the screen are in black but appear the imagen for a second like a flash. I don´t know the name of the cable but is not the s-video is the other to use the tv like a pc monitor

I already did that and did not work, but I could solve my problem using the Acer empowering technology, it was easier than it thought. Thank you very much

Does the TV show a message at all? What cable are you connecting with?

Try lowering your screen resolution on the laptop first. (Right click on desktop > properties > settings tab > and move the bar to the left - try the lowest setting to start with

Lowering the screen resolution to 800 X 600 makes the external monitor work well. If I increase it to 1280 X 800 (which is the max on my acer laptop), the external monitor goes blank.

How do I make it work at the highest resolution?

No picture on acer aspire 4720z

Try connecting it to a TV or monitor, if you get a picture on them the fault lies with the screen itself, if you still don't get any picture it may be a graphics/motherboard issue.

Check that you have entered the wireless security key onto the laptop, may be this that is not allowing connection.

Having problem connecting aspire to my sony 42 plasma, cable is hooked up properly vga to dvi but no picture in any of the video sources. right clicking on netbook and accesing the properties doesnt change...

Depending on which version of windows you are using - you will need to select the monitor/ TV setting option from the laptop. This is what I believe you have already done. Have you tried with different display resolutions?

Finally do you actually select the TV from the F4/ F5 keys on the laptop. Do you see the laptop screen go blank briefly?

Not able to connect my Acer Aspire 4720Z notebook to TV

You will need to change the TV's input select to S-Video to view your notebooks display. Remember S-Video is just that, Video and no sound. You'll need to patch the audio in via Audio In input on the TV if you haven't already?

Hi,

Go to following link and download your driver.
Just select your notebook model and download drivers.

and if you are using windows xp with service pack 2 or higher or any windows vista operating system then you dont have to install USB drivers.
